Our room was very dirty. The room was not dusted, with cigar ash, etc. on the furniture, the floors were terribly dirty as well. In all my years of housekeeping I have never seen such a dirty room. The mirrors and tv were cleaned with a greasy cloth. Our king size bed had a broken mattress, forcing us to sleep...

You drive from Havana along the main highway avoiding the ox carts then you drive through Guanahacabibes national park (stopping to show your passport). After miles of tropical forest passing iguanas, tropical birds and wild pigs, along with glimpses of white sandy beaches, palm trees and rolling ocean you reach this spot. The cabins are fabulous and the best accommodation...

It's 6 hours away from Havana to the west but it's worth every minute of it: Peninsula de Guanacahabibes is a UNESCO biosphere reserve and its semi-desert flora and corresponding fauna are unique in many ways. Villa Cabo San Antonio is located right by the lighthouse that guides vessels around the westernmost tip of the island. the beach stretch is...

After a long drive from Pinar Del Rio in a classic taxi, my girlfriend and I arrived to discover a deserted reception desk. After an hour the receptionist arrived with no apology and a very cold welcome. One of the primary reasons we visited this resort was to explore the nature trails and partake in a some of wildlife spotting...

This totally private part of Cuba is AMAZING!! Even Cuban people cannot get in to see as the road is blocked!! The views, and privacy and road in and out are something else. Paradise at its finest. Would love to go back some day.

It's interesting driving in Cuba and a drive of this distance will probably take longer than you think due to road quality, lack of signposting and lack of rational linking up of major roads. That aside, it was an amazing drive through authentic Cuba finishing with a 70km drive on through the nature reserve at Cabo St Antonio, during which...

it far far away arrive there, you must go through a nature reserve with rangers that preserve the place. After the last checkpoint you must drive 1 and a half hour to arrive to the paradise. The food is expensive, but is a far away place to take the food.

Situated at the extreme end of Cuba it is an ideal place to escape on your own. On the 60 km drive in your only likely to see large Iguanas or snakes... Not other people. The rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was ok.... It is more of an Eco tourism get away with a number of walks...

The food is very deficient. But eatable. The staff is very friendly, as most staff I encountered in my trip to Cuba. However, the pillows are horrible. If you are going to book this hotel bring your own pillow. You have no control over the ac which makes it a bit uncomfortable. Also they have this green night light at...

We needed fuel while traveling from Key West to Cozumel by boat. Being from the US we had concerns. The marina is a cement pier. Very simple. No power or water. Fuel was $5 used per gal. Dock staff were very friendly and honest. Immigration took a bit of time but also friendly. The marina has a small bar and...
