#2 of 5 in Rowen
Tir y Coed is a boutique B&B and the house is a haven of peace and tranquility, ideal for a romantic break or a family get-together. Surrounded by an acre of mature landscaped gardens on the edge of Rowen, one of the Conwy valley's most delightful villages and just within the boundary of the Snowdonia National Park. Most bedrooms have views over the gardens and vary in size and style as would be expected in a period house. Each room has either an en suite bath or shower room a T.V. super-fast broadband (but no mobile signal, as we have mountains everywhere) as well as all the other stuff you'd expect to enable you to make yourself at home. Think fluffy white towels, feather and down duvets, proper coffee and big comfy beds. It is possible to dine in the evening by prior arrangement and we will be happy to discuss food options and preferences with you.

Beautiful country house, with an amazing garden, junior suite was lovely, bed comfortable, duvet like a cloud surrounding you, Fluffy white towels. A fantastic breakfast, home made bread , daily flap jacks made by Sandra left in bedroom. Sandra and Cris were amazing , nothing to much trouble. Never have I left any where that made me so sad to leave, and I like most people I have traveled widely. It is a Gem of a place , and will return.

This is a gem to stay at. I stayed here with my mother from 8/5 for three nights in the junior suite, it was a much needed break. Everything was perfect . Sandra and Chris are absolutely brilliant hosts, very friendly, go beyond what we expected. They look after quests in a very personal manner and it’s lovely. We didn’t want to go home! Breakfast is freshly cooked when chosen, whilst you eat fruit and yoghurt with honey on. So relaxing. We loved the gardens and the terrace area and enjoyed a glass of wine in both areas after a day out. I am planning to return here for part of my 60th itinerary with my husband and of course another time with my mother as we just enjoyed ourselves so much here. Peaceful and high standards with very personal hosts.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at this outstanding bed and breakfast. We were greeted by both Chris and Sandra who showed us the house and our room. We had booked the Rowen Suite which has both a sleeping area and a separate sofa and table area. Beds were comfortable and all room amenities were very good including Alexa! The views from the house and room were amazing and the room was both light and airy. The garden is especially impressive. Breakfasts were excellent - a wide and varied choice - you will not go hungry! We would definitely return here as it is an excellent location for seeing the sights in Snowdonia. Thank you to you both for being the perfect hosts.

We rented the entire house for a special celebration and found it a try gem in every way. The rooms are beautifully furnished; the ensuite are excellent; the kitchen is truly amazing and a joy to use; the terrace and bar make a wonderful place to sit, to breakfast and to visit. The grounds are lovely. Sandra went out of her way to make sure we felt at home and knew how to make best use of the facilities. It is an excellent boon that Benson, our dog, was welcome as well. Theis is a beautiful part of the world and a very special corner of it. Outstanding!
