I always stay at Hotel Mirador when I visit Cuba. Love the quiet town, spotless clean rooms and the pool are to unwind and relax. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Check in was very easy. The pool bar attendants are always very friendly and professional.

After plenty of hiking and biking in the area, we took a few hours pause here to chill, enjoy the pool area, and people-watch, an especially fun activity given that children had the week off school. Played a little makeshift bingo with some families, enjoyed a so-so monitor, and

Pluses for this place; posh appearance, nice pool, good outdoor dinning and bar with a really excellent band in the evening. Minuses; typical hotel water issues, lighting, comfort, etc. The breakfast restaurant was better than most. SDdlB is quite small and unremarkable and

This region is very interesting, with mogotes and caves from ancient limestone deposits. Rooms are along an open corridor where one might encounter a tree frog or lizard on the wall, lovely swimming pool with plaza around it. Food was the usual Cuban fare, plain but plentiful.

This hotel, like many in Cuba is charmingly stuck in the sixties. We stayed there for two nights while birding in the area. The pool is fantastic - large and attractive and nice after a day of hiking. The food was plain but good. One morning there was a hatch of flying ants.

Hi, sorry to say I do not know the answer to either of your questions. We did not see bicycles for hire. That said, the hotel has a highly energetic and helpful activities director, and my guess is that she could arrange something for you. I also do not know about availability of the balneario. When we were there, the town was pretty sleepy, and very few guests in the hotel. Even the pool at the hotel was drained "for painting". Sorry to be of no help, but I wanted to respond to your questions My apologies for being a bit slow to respond, but I wanted to check with some of my fellow travelers.
