Had a wonderful weekend with our family! The location and views are just stunning. We stayed in the Bell Tent which was beautiful, and whilst we had some rain, this didn't detract from the weekend at all. We loved exploring the countryside, and spent a nice afternoon in Rhayader. Justin and Norma couldn't do enough for us and were amazing hosts. The pizza oven was a lovely touch! Will definitely come again and would thoroughly recommend a visit!

Just got home from a 2 night stay in the bunk house. There were 15 of us for a University reunion and the bunkhouse was more than big enough! The kitchen was fantastic, we were able to cook a meal for 15 people with no problems, it was like home away from home. Plenty of toilets and showers and dining room big enough for us all to sit in at the same time. The location is fantastic aswel, so peaceful and scenic with so much on tye door step! My only criticism would be with the WiFi. It was so hit and miss. A couple of us paid for it for the weekend but couldn't use it because it just kept cutting out. Luckily we had the variety of board games so that kept us entertained! We would definitely return, fantastic weekend overall!

Thanks for the nice comments and really glad that you enjoyed yourselves. Unfortunately there is very little that we can do about the wifi until BT get their act together and install the high speed connection that we were promised would be available by summer 2016, 2 years ago now. I fully sympathise as we struggle with this on a daily basis. I also resent having to charge our guests for a service which falls well short of what I am happy with, but need to cover the high cost of the content filtering and monitoring systems that we have to have in place to meet legal requirements.

We visited the bunkhouse this new years eve for a couple of days. We wanted to get away from the city and have a new year spent together somewhere different. we were a group of 20 x 22(ish) year olds and John didn't seem put off at all (as some other places were). He was very helpful on arrival and with suggestions for places to walk and even helped us push some cars out of the mud one day! The place its self is simple but great, the best thing by far is the 1st floor bedroom which makes you feel like you are in brownie camp all over again. The kitchen is well sized and has more than enough cooking equipment. The surrounding garden and outdoor space is VERY pretty, even in the winter. We are at the moment considering coming back in summer as John has already invited us back to visit the river and go on nicer summery walks. Highly recommend for all group types. SUCH good value.

Pleased that you had such a good time despite being here with really appalling cold, wet and windy weather. We are, of course, essentially geared up for outdoor activities and if you enjoyed yourselves in the conditions that you experienced you would definitely enjoy the summer months here. And if you want to be back in a brownie camp perhaps you should try the tipi?

Had a great two night stop at the Bunkhouse. It was warm, comfortable and peaceful. We were made most welcome and fortunately for us ideally situated for easy travel to the rally. Originally we were only booked for one night , but circumstances changed and we needed a further nights accommodation, with no fuss we were made so very welcome. Big thanks to John and we will definitely be back in the future as we are often in that part of the country on various events,

9 friends arrived tired , wet and weary after climbing Cadair Idris and cycling here. The welcome couldn't have been any warmer, nothing was too much trouble. Bikes stored uncover, hot showers and a great cooked dinner provided. Spag bol including a veggie version, apple and blackberry tart with custard for pud , all homemade and delicious. Owners helped us wash and dry all our wet gear, nothing was too much trouble. A good night sleep and a lovely cooked breakfast washed down with gallons of tea to get us on our way. Top notch! would recommend to anyone. Ian & the Port 2 Port charity ride team

Spending most of our time outside in all weathers we know how important it is to come in to a substantial meal and the opportunity to get warm and dry at the end of the day. It's really nice to see this level of appreciation and we hope that it helped a little to make your ride a huge success and that you raised loads of money!

AJS Matchless Owners Club North West had 6 members in the bunkhouse and 2 campers for a mid week break in June. We found the owners very accommodating and keen to make our stay the best it could be. John cooked the breakfasts to perfection and Steph helped us with routes and Taxis into Rhayader and generally made us feel at home. Very nice Bunkhouse, well appointed and rural style camping. Ideal location for some very scenic runs out.. We would recommend this to anyone wanting a rural retreat holiday in Wales.

23 of us rented the Bunk-House and Tipi, for a bank holiday weekend, and we absolutely loved every minute of it!! John and Steph were very welcoming, and showed us around when we arrived, and the surrounding garden and views are so lovely. Great value for money, and perfect for what we wanted; BBQ, Playing music, Sitting in the sun, and playing rounders in the field! :) Thanks very much!
