Elm House is located approx 150 meters along an unadopted road which runs parallel with Oare Creek, just 1 mile from Faversham town centre. We believe a perfect spot for guests who wish to spend time visiting the bird reserve at Oare Marshes or who just wish to walk and enjoy this lovely area full of wildlife. We offer family accommodation in one Twin room and one Double room with one private guest family bathroom. Access to your accommodation is via a spiral staircase, therefore not suitable for disabled guests. Our prices include a continental breakfast, served in the guest sitting room or outside on the balcony, where guests can enjoy the lovely waterside views. Free Wi-Fi. Friendly and relaxed accommodation with easy access by road to many popular local attractions. Locally in the village you will find The Three Mariners Restaurant which we can highly recommend, advanced booking required. The Castle Inn public house is nearby and out on the creek you will find The Shipwrights Arms public house. A local direct bus service operates Monday - Saturday to Canterbury City centre. Sorry we are unable to accept pets. The accommodation is Non-smoking. Travel cot/high chair available on request.. PLEASE NOTE, WE DO HAVE A LARGE FRIENDLY DOG (DOBERMANN.)

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We loved staying here, spacious, clean accommodation, wonderful hosts, super views. Far more than I expected for a B&B. Great value too. We had the king size room that came with its own lounge and private balcony over looking faversham creek. Have already made another booking for summer.

We booked Linda's apartment through Airbnb, and we are so glad we found this place. Unfortunately I left it too late to leave a review on Airbnb in the 14 day period after we visited, so I have added it here. Linda was an excellent host, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we met. The accommodation was great, the living area, bedroom and bathroom were spotless, and very tastefully decorated. It felt very light and airy. There is a lovely balcony with a table and chairs, overlooking the creek, and we ate breakfast out there on a lovely sunny morning. Linda even provided bread, butter, condiments, milk and cereal for our breakfast, very nice. We would definitely recommend this place if you are staying in the area, and we would love to return soon.

We had a fantastic weekend the house is situated right next to a lovely creek with boat moorings. The hose and grounds are lovely clean and tidy. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with the use of a first floor sitting room with great views. The beds are comfortable & clean and the host friendly welcoming without being intrusive. I highly recommend a visit.

Our family of 4 stayed at the 2 bright, airy and comfortable bedrooms. The hot shower, bathtub and thick towels were much welcome after a long day's drive. Really liked the chill out private lounge area overlooking the gardens and estuary. Bubbly host Linda is friendly, welcoming and so kind to accommodate an enjoyable breakfast at 7 am as we had a university graduation ceremony at attend. Good location, only about 15 mins drive into Kent or charming Canterbury (if the single lane is free of roadworks and busy traffic). Just 5 minutes walk to the recommended Three Mariners for a hearty English pub meal and a big Sainsbury's supermarket is about 5 mins drive away.

A very friendly cosy bed and breakfast in the village of Oare just outside Faversham. Excellent value for money, immaculate, sole use of the sitting room and balcony included in the price and an excellent full english breakfast. The hospitality could not be faulted. A must stay!

Rooms were light, airy and immaculately clean. The view from the separate Lounge Balcony was stunning. Breakfast was piping hot and made to your own preferences. Mrs Morrison was friendly helpful and very pleasant company.

Very clean and ideally placed for interesting walks close by. Friendly owner and excellent breakfast. Balcony from lounge provided good views of marshes and creeks. Very quiet at night and no light pollution so stars a plenty

Thank you David for adding your review. Lovely to hear you all had a nice time. The balcony does offer the chance to star gaze at night, while during the summer, tide permitting, you can sit and watch the yachts heading in / out of the creek. Hope you all enjoyed your long walk out towards the Swale last Sunday morning, before returning home.

The best stay ever! Charming hosts, fantastic breakfasts. I would recommend this wonderful place every day of the week. Our room overlooked the Creek. We were surrounded by lovely gardens and Linda our host was a mine of information about the local area. Thank you.

Thank you John, lovely to read your review. I always try and provide guests with different breakfast options, as l do understand a full cooked meal can be just to much early in the morning, especially if like you your off to work straight after. Hope your journey home was trouble free, taking into account the very high winds which affected travel right across the country.
