I was in New Overlander Inn for 10 days, for working in the area. Karen and Rob helped me in everything possible, even before arriving in Wales. They made my stay easy and very confortable; preparing breakfast and dinner at the time fitted me, and being willing to help whenever I asked for a favour. The food is wonderful, the room was super charming, and the location quiet.

We were staying on the adjacent campsite and went in for a bit of comfort! We both had the lamb shanks and they were superb. The bar/restaurant was virtually empty because Covid had locked down most of South Wales ( albeit not Tenby) and greatly reduced the number of tourists. The fact that it was one of the wettest days on record can't have helped much either. The food and staff were excellent We didn't stay overnight at the Inn but it is a great location close to the beach and Tenby.

I said I was going to post a shocking review, but it would be impossible to say anything bad about The New Overlander, We stayed for 3 nights in this delightful pub, the room we had was tastefully decorated along with the bathroom, very good lighting and a powerful shower. This is very much a family run concern with the owners working very long hours. On arrival we were advised to book a table if we were planning on eating in that evening as it can get busy, I am very glad we did as the food was excellent, it takes a little longer to arrive than in some places but is worth the wait we ate in each night , breakfast was also very good with a wide choice and no problems in adding to or removing items. A special mention must go to Nicole Karen's daughter who kept us entertained and a big thanks to Brendan who was full of suggestions for places for us to visit. We will most certainly be back should we ever be in the area and have already recommended it to friends.

My review of our meal consisting of steak and a steak pie. At no time did your staff ask if our meal was ok. I thought they may have asked when we left without having a dessert but they didnt. As there were people around I didnt want to cause any upset As a chef I never trust the work of the butcher I always check the meat and trim it appropriately

Response from Karen Tulley, Owner at New Overlander Inn

Thank you for your response. I will take this up with the staff again and will make them aware of your comment. I trim the meat from the butcher when it is necessary and can only apologise if I missed something on this occasion.
