Stunning hotel. Great service greeted us, chocolates and love spoon were placed in our room for valentines night. Went out locally for evening food but the breakfast was fantastic, eaten overlooking a clear view of the coast out the window. Beautiful location where the castle has been modernised and updated, but in keeping with the old nature of the building....

Really quirky hotel, lovely decor, very special layout, amazing views, super sun-deck/lounge. They did not do dinner on-site when we stayed, but they provided a lift to and from a local pub which was also very good.

Beautiful place which has been exquisitely and thoughtfully restored and modified to accommodate guests. Excellent service and delicious breakfast. Shame they don't do dinner for residents but a goood selection of eating places nearby with courtesy transport to one or two.

Stay here if you can! Had a room at the top with fantastic views to the coast. The room was faultless, great bathroom, great breakfast. Staff really helpful. Courtesy transfer to sister hotel for dinner. Nothing too much trouble. A stay to remember.

When do you get to get an experience like this.?Well thankfully a local gent who's ploughed a load of money back into his community has created an amazing opportunity for anybody to experience staying in a castle. Being a builder/bricklayer I was amazed how such an ancient building had been transformed into such a relaxed and pleasurable stay. I can't...

Just a blissful weekend. Cosy comfort, a sanctuary from the cold, secure from January weather and invading hoards! A commanding 360 degree view stirs the imagination to flights of fancy crossing the millennia, the tribal and the feudal, the sacred and profane.... And a wonderfully cooked breakfast too!

Thank you for highlighting that January is a great time to hunker down in a 12th century castle and escape the winter blues. It is good to know that our guests agree with The AA who recently awarded Roch Castle, Penrhiw and Twr y Felin Hotel a Breakfast Award for each venue. Paula Ellis, Group General Manager.
