We stayed for three nights. The room was satisfactory, but not spotless. On the first day our tea-stained cups were not cleaned, but they were turned over on the saucers, as if to suggest that they had been. I didn't sleep well on the first night because of some very noisy guests. Evening meals could be had at the Indian restaurant next door. The food was delicious, but, unfortunately I had an upset stomach for a few days afterwards. The breakfast was not good value for money, especially compared with the other places we stayed in. To be fair there had recently been a change of management, so the establishment was in a state of transition.

The room was clean and warm. The food was top notch. I've stayed there every week for 3 months last year while working in the area and have always had a warm welcome from host Christian and his staff. I recommend it to anyone for both accomodation and dining.

Very basic houses but good if you’re just staying for overnight. It isn’t the cleanest or the most spacious but definitely value for money considering there aren’t any affordable accommodation nearby. There’s a tired looking Indian restaurant outside but I crossed the road to get some quick bits at petrol station. If you’re staying for long there are few supermarkets within 10 mins drive to stock up. The staff was super friendly taking us to the room and telling us about the area and things to do etc.

Nice prices for rooms and the food which is very good and the portions very generous. Their staff are friendly and very helpful. Room was a bottle basic but adequate, all ground floor rooms, free parking outside your own room. Nice, very good for anyone with a disability

This was just what we wanted & expected. A small lodge, clean & tidy enough with a bed to sleep in. It is a little dated but we already knew and we didn’t mind at all, it didn’t affect our stay! The bed we had was very comfy also. We spent 3 nights and enjoyed it, you can park your car directly outside your lodge it’s perfect and only a short distance from other places we wanted to visit. We did not eat here as we travelled around in the day but we did try the Indian next door, it was gorgeous. You must try it, and it’s a two second walk from your room! I would definitely stay here again, great value for money and a cute cosy little lodge. Only downside I found was that our neighbours were a bit noisy and very drunk in the middle of the night which woke us, but that cannot be helped by the hotel, and I was too afraid for either of us to knock and ask them to be quiet ha. We had room 21 if anyone wondered. Hope to stay again soon :)

Thank you so much for the kind review and we are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us; and your meals! I really do apologise about your noisy neighbours, as you have mentioned this can not be helped sometimes and it is just unfortunate that some guests aren't as considerate as they should be to others staying. We do always have someone available 24 / 7 that can assist with these issues via an emergency number. I would of been happy to go on knock on the guests door for you. Hope you had a safe journey home, Reception

3 nights at the Silverdale, Greeted warmly and quickly shown to our room, ok the lodges may only be a two star but the bed and bathroom was clean and comfortable however we had two meals in the restaurant and on both occasions the service was first class and the food was of very good quality and really enjoyed the sea bass, beautifully cooked and presented. Only whinge, toilet paper dispenser, a real pain in the bum and with the heavy rain the guttering was overflowing outside the door during the night. Hopefully will be back soon to enjoy the food and service, thankyou.

Americans BEWARE! SEE PICTURES We had an emergency trip over to Wales for a funeral of a family member. If you are traveling and young and don’t care about cleanliness this would be an acceptable place for you. We had to stay here because there was no other place to stay during the high season. I now understand why there were rooms available, the smart people didn’t stay here. No one uses screens on the windows ANYWHERE! Separate hot cold faucets, fire alarms that will go off if you leave bathroom door open, carpet is ragged, sticky and worn. I swear they did not even change the sheets! I ALWAYS check since we stay In Hotels ALOT and it has happed to us before. No blow dryer provided, they don’t tell you that you must pull a cord that looks like a fire alarm if you want hot water! The lovely gals at the front desk are professional and kind. The owner however, from 🇦🇹 Austria (not that it matters but just for information) serves a great breakfast that you must pay for $7.50 the night before no exceptions. he expects you to be there promptly on time that you say you will be there because he’s quick to tell you “I have better things to do than be here.” He needs an attitude adjustment or learn some manners and customer service...or try another occupation. Small cozy bar and resturant looked lovely but we only had breakfast there. After seeing how they take care of the rooms nor sue I would want to see the cleanliness of the kitchen. My pictures say it all.

Thank you for booking with us and for taking the time out of your day to leave us a review. We have thousands of happy guests stay with us every year but sadly it is human nature that the one unhappy guest will always leave a review whilst the happy guests mostly do not. I do apologise for the apparent problems you had during your stay with us but you did not mention these to us once during your time here! The problems would of been rectified immediately or an alternative arrangement provided. We bend over backwards to assist customer complaints but i can’t really do that when you complain through a key board. I would like to point out that we are a very reasonably priced bed and breakfast establishment, we charge a fraction of the price of other local hotels and whilst that isn’t an excuse for the bedroom not to be clean i do believe you arrived with incredible delusions of grandeur. You are not going to get a 5* hotel experience when you are booking and paying for a 2* bed and breakfast. We provide clean and comfortable, basic en-suite accommodation and the excellent prices we charge reflect the level of accommodation we offer. You are not going to get a luxury hotel experience for £50.00 per night! Some of your comments to clarify… You state that there are no blow dryers available. There are in reception; this was mentioned to you on arrival and via notices in the room. You say your sheets were not changed!? They were! I also have no idea what you mean about the fire alarms. They did not go off during your stay and haven’t even been set of by accident for years. We have to have fire alarms to protect guests, i do not understand the problem? Now i do believe the customer is more or less always right as the saying goes but i have never met someone as rude as yourself during my hospitality career . My staff work incredibly hard and none of them deserve to be spoken to in the manner that you did. I was absolutely disgusted with the way you condescended myself as well as my staff; as were other customers that over heard you. You also point out that i need an attitude adjustment…. Firstly i did not make the comments you stated and I would never talk to any other customer the way i have spoken about you in this reply. You are a sad exception to the thousands of lovely customers we have stay with us every year. The last point that i am going to make is that you stayed with us for one night before departing. You then chose to stay with us AGAIN a couple of days later. If your experience was so appalling and bad as you have exacerbated it to be, why on the earth did you choose to come back?! I honestly feel so sorry for all of the future establishments that have to endure your presence. Your husband was quite a nice gentleman, however his embarrassment showed every time you tried to belittle myself and my staff. I hope you had a safe journey home.

We stayed here for a week on our first proper visit to Pembrokeshire, perfect base to explore! Rooms are basic but all that you need, the restaurant meals are excellent but they only serve in the evening. Breakfast very good value. There is also an excellent Indian restaurant next door but I don’t think it’s the same owners! Would recommend. Good value for money and the lovely boy on reception helped me out with maps and bus timetables. Only negative is the reception hours are a bit tight but for the price can’t complain. Thank you.
