Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our third visit and the reason why is that we can’t fault this hotel. It feels very homely with really friendly and efficient staff. The pub part of the hotel was very busy on Friday night and the staff apologised for not paying us enough attention even though we hadn’t even noticed that. Breakfast is also very good with a menu of various choices of breakfast. It was the biggest bedroom that we had stayed in at this hotel with a wet room and was spotlessly clean. The bed was also really comfortable. We still haven’t used the pool and gym so cannot comment on these facilities. Looking forward to visit number four.

I booked this for a one night stay so my wife and I could have a relaxing night away. When you arrive it’s next door to a supermarket and busy junction so you would be forgiven for thinking it might be really hectic. Once you enter then you’ll notice the hotel is spotless and the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Our room (8) was amazing, clean and spacious with a great bathroom and large comfortable bed. The independent bar and restaurant are also fantastic and I still cannot believe how extensive the menu was. The other thing you’ll notice is the price is extremely good value and the service was faultless, make sure you book a table! The breakfast menu was awesome too. Then there is the fitness suite with a cracking pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. This area too was also extremely clean with plenty of staff about to help if needed. All in all, it was a surprise find and an amazing stay, we’ll definitely head back.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with good shower and air con. Excellent hotel facilities, wish our stay had been longer. Great meal and one of the best breakfasts at Branfords restaurant. This was our 2nd stay and would highly recommend.

A lovely hotel, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were spacious with plenty of space to put everything. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows, in the room there was a tv, a kettle, tea and coffee, milk and also biscuits, also there was a fridge, the bathroom was spacious with lots of towels, shower gel, soap, hairdryer etc and there was a shower over the bath, everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was included in the price of our stay, the menu was quite extensive with so many things to choose from the full English breakfast was really good, the hotel also has a restaurant and bar for anyone to use even if you are not staying at the hotel and that menu was also very extensive and reasonably priced. There is a lift up to the bedrooms and also the hotel has a large swimming pool, sauna and large gym which is all free when staying there, they also have SKY tv which was showing Premier League matches while we were there in the marquee. The car park has plenty of parking spaces. An all round lovely hotel to stay at.

Stayed for three nights, had treatments and used the spa/pool and restaurant. Facilities including room all extremely clean. Staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us. Breakfasts were a good size and great quality. Hotel has a restaurant attached, and the good served there was also delicious (and they were able to adapt to dietary needs of dairy free person in party). Nice cocktails in the bar as well. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!!
