Our stay was lovely. Claire was a wonderful host. She took extra care for our breakfast needs, and it was always delicious. The room was very clean and very comfortable. It was a beautiful country farmland setting, with spectacular views and lots of cute sheep, ducks, chickens, and alpacas around. We enjoyed our time here immensely!! Highly recommend!!
The whole vibe of the place. Claire was lovely and welcoming and made sure she spent a little time checking we were ok and had everything we needed, she gave us tips and advice on things to do locally. There's loads of really nice little touches such as robes, unbrellas, torches, a TV in the pod and fresh towels and then foldable chairs to sit next to fire pit with to name but a few things. The shower and rest room facilities were really well thought out and comfortable and there's a cool kitchen and TV room with loads of breakfast making equipment and nice local produce put into a hamper for guests to use. There's also things like dried logs for the fire in this room at an additional small cost for convenience so you don't need to think about buying these things before hand. Claire also put a bottle of prosecco at my request for our arrival. We stayed there because we were climbing Snowdon and it was a great location for this, It took us 25 minutes to get to the car parks where you begin your climb and it's only 15 minutes to Betwys Coed where there's quite a few pubs and restaurants etc but ultimately it's nice to know you're coming back to your cosy pod or Sheppards hut after a long day walking. I think overall what you get with your stay represents really good value for money in an area of considerable natural beauty. Regards, Dan…
Lovely long weekend break with excellent hosts Claire and Nigel. Warm and very friendly service with Nigel’s excellent breakfast! Great location to explore Snowdonia and surrounding areas. The alpacas were a real treat! Very comfortable bedrooms, we couldn’t have asked for more!
What a beautiful place! My partner and I stayed in The Hut with our dog for 2 nights over Easter Bank Holiday and could not have asked for more. The view from the hut was amazing and we enjoyed watching the sunset both nights whilst sat by the campfire. Claire has thought of absolutely everything, all the little touches make this different from any site we have ever stayed at. We had an amazing breakfast hamper and Claire even added creme eggs as it was Easter. The hut also had small touches like hot water bottles, packs of cards, dominoes and marshmallows for toasting on the fire etc. The kitchen facilities are brill, everything you could possibly need you don't need to bring ANYTHING over than the food for any evening meals you might make :) Claire was so friendly and came round each night for a chat and to check we were OK. Snowdon is only about 40 minutes drive and betws y coed is about 5-10 minutes drive so it really is a lovely location! Thanks again for a lovely stay, we would definitely return! Tip- call Claire and book direct and you get a BBQ hamper included for free 😋 x…
We booked a 1 night stay here as we were attending a motorcycle event nearby. Claire the landlady was really helpful, friendly from booking to our stay. The room and guest house spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was good and filling and beautiful views of countryside and the new alpacas. Excellent location just off A5 so ideal for touring the area. Discussed bikers staying and Claire would happily help to dry out wet gear if required. Bike parking safe and there is a garage that they have let bikers park inside previously. Didn't look at the glamping pods but they look lovely and position on site facing mountains. We would definitely return and try one of the pods 🙂
