Detailed Reviews
Our room was fab, the biggest bed I’ve seen, lovely bathroom, beautiful views. Christine was the perfect host, as others have said, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent hospitality tray, added bonus of fridge on the landing to keep our drinks cold. Breakfast was amazing, beautifully cooked with fresh fruit salad every day and top quality jams , marmalade and local honey. Ben got eggs off the farm! Location brilliant for Harrogate, skipton, rippon, Hawes.

From start to finish our stay on this working farm was a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable experience.
On arrival we discovered our hosts had baked us a wonderful chocolate cake which was just the thing after a long journey with a Yorkshire cuppa made with ‘essentials’ they had left for us.
I personally managed to persuade our hostess to divulge her ‘secret family ‘ chocolate cake recipe which, as a cake maker myself, I will be baking soon! - absolutely scrummy!
The cottage itself was spotlessly clean with every small detail thought of.
Fantastic views and walks all around, close to great farm shop, pubs etc.
Hosts very friendly and available if needed.
Own parking space on farm next to cottage.
Highly recommend.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, my friend and I stumbled upon this warm and friendly farmhouse bed and breakfast. Nothing was too much bother forChristene, the owner, even down to providing some toothpaste. The view from our twin room was breathtaking! With the gentle sound of sheep and their lambs. Our breakfast was very filling and provided well for my vegetarian needs. This was only a short visit, however I will certainly return and explore more.
Big thank you for putting us up at short notice.

Absolutely perfect. This place is pure paradise. The location is absolutely stunning. The views are to die for.
Christine, the owner, was exceptional. She could not do enough for us. Kind, thoughtful and extremely helpful.
The house we stayed in had everything we could possibly need and more.
Cannot find a single fault.
Would definitely love to return.

Our overnight stay here was one of the best we have had: superb setting and great views, great accommodation (including a spacious guest lounge with open fire), an excellent breakfast and a professional and warm welcome. We chose the twin room at the front because it had a bath rather than a shower. The evening meal at the recommended local bistro was first rate.
[The back bedroom (double with shower) was smaller than our room and had more restricted views. Go for a front of house room if available ]
Thoroughly recommended.

We have stayed at Scaife Hall Farm twice, in 2007 and 2009, and can thoroughly recommend it. It's a working sheep farm in the Yorkshire Dales, in beautiful countryside near the (ugly named?) hamlet of Blubberhouses. It is a very quiet rural location, but only about five minutes drive from the main A59 Harrogate to Skipton road. We've been in Spring, when you drive carefully up to the old, stone farm-house along the unfenced farm drive, through a field full of lambs racing about madly, their quieter mothers, and rabbits.
Christine Ryder is a very friendly and welcoming hostess, with a busy life, but always seeming to have time to chat to her guests. You will get tea and biscuits in the downstairs lounge on arrival. We had Room 1, a double room overlooking the farmyard. It's small, but well equipped. Very comfortable. Spotless and well-maintained. Warm, good lighting, tea/coffee tray, plus biscuits and chocolates, TV, etc. There are two other rooms, a double and a twin, which have nicer views to the South, overlooking the Dales countryside and the lamb fields. All are en-suite.
Breakfasts are excellent. Help-yourself to freshly-made fruit salad, or prunes, or grapefruit, or a range of high-quality cereals. The your choice of cooked breakfast.. nearly everything made with top-quality local farm produce.. the eggs will have just been collected, even kippers come from the smoke-house just up the road. Toast, and a huge range of Yorkshire jams and marmalades.
There are maps and guides available to borrow. There are various nature trails and even a “tree-trail” that give circular walks from the farm. And Christine has lots of advice on eating-places for evening meals, and will book tables for you. It's a very comfortable and relaxing stay.
We take a cool-box with us, so we can stock up with excellent lamb from Christine's brother's farm-shop just up the road.

Christine our hostess at "Scaife Hall Farm" is a pure gem... her hospitality is far beyond comparison. My wife and I have stayed at this beautiful Yorkshire farmhouse on four occasions and retain the fondest memories of each of those visits. Christine's breakfast are superb, everything fresh and cooked to perfection. The en suite bedrooms are terrific with everything provided and delightfully decorated in a most welcoming and tasteful manner. The surrounding farmland is of a storey-book quality, so restfull and refreshing... you simply must visit. We both heartilly recomend "Scaife Hall Farm" as a destination all by itself.
