In our group was 3 adults and two kids one of 18 the other 13. I found this place by chance and when we arrived we were very pleased. The owner Jo and Rob are really friendly, helpful and definitely the hostesses with the most! They have a couple of friendly dogs though they keep them away never once did I hear them bark. The rooms are the best we have stayed in ever! Beds are comfy, rooms are big and plenty of room to move around in bathrooms are glorious and everything is very clean, quality of tea and coffee in the rooms is outstanding as is the quality of food it’s all
Local and very well sourced, cooked and presented, we had pizza on one night and bbq the next both meals the owners sourced locally and prepared it all for us to cook, which was fun and we ate outside undercover pudding was heavenly with some oaty chocolate cake and rhubarb or apple crumble another night.. on the Saturday afternoon we can back and they allowed our boys to ride their motorbikes on their land which the boys loved it was their own mini adventure, we had a glass of wine whilst the boys were riding and the owners brought us out a mini afternoon tea, which was divine also the cinnamon swirls they do are fantastic! There was also a fully fitted kitchen for guests to use that had everything you need and if you have young children that eat a bit more randomly then ideal for that or if you want to cook your own evening meals. They really couldn’t do enough and we were made to feel at home. We cannot wait to come back, our son even asked if we could cancel our summer holiday and come here instead!
You have to stay here and experience real hostesses.

Myself and several guys stayed at Hope Mountain with our motorbikes for one night.
The owns/ hosts we extremely helpful and accommodating, providing secure parking for our vehicles and also a taxi service to the local pub for a meal they book in for us.
The rooms, service and venue was first class and would highly recommend if for what ever your needs are.
Breakfast a very high standard with plenty of choice, with Tea and coffee.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Hope mountain. Jo & Rob were greats hosts, very knowledgeable of the local area, friendly and interesting people to talk to. Breakfast was fantastic, freshly made to order using local produce. We also ordered an afternoon tea for arrival which was one of the best afternoon teas I’ve ever had! The best thing about this stay though was how truly dog friendly they are, making it a home from home for us and our 2 pooches.

Only stayed for one night whilst visiting friends in the local area.

Jo and Rob were welcoming right from the start. Friendly and helpful the perfect hosts.

Two amazing dogs, who love lots of fuss and cuddles. It was like home from home whilst away from our own dogs.

Bedrooms are spacious and had all the amenities you would need. Living room space and dining space also very large and comfortable. Lots of literature on places to visit and activities to do in the local and wider area.

Breakfast was lovely. Plentiful, well cooked and lots of options to cater for various needs from cooked, cereals, fruits and yoghurts. Lots of different teas and coffee’s and fruit juices.

Hope Mountain caters not only for couples but would be ideal for large family and friend groups. Will definitely stay again, and longer for sure.

Very clean and comfortable in a lovely quiet location. Hard floors make it pet friendly, but noises carry a bit. Not a problem once everyone has gone to bed though. Jo and Rob are really helpful accommodating hosts. Tasty and satisfying breakfast. EV charging available from 13A socket in the carpark (but I didn’t have to use it).

Really welcoming hosts.
Super on-suit bedroom - faultless tbh; cleanliness first class; size of room; size of bed; bathroom facilities etc.
Breakfast was great.

This place has plenty to recommend itself.
As for the tricky ascent?
Takes a little finding, passing through narrow country lanes that wouldn’t look amiss in a GOT’s episode.
Excellent VFM.

My room was spotless, very comfortable bed and everything you could want. The breakfast was superb, freshly cooked and delicious.
