Our holiday in your SPA exceeded all expectations. We felt at home the whole time because of the constant attention and willingness of all the staff to help. We felt like we were in a big friendly family. The SPA services, their convenience and variety were excellent. The hotel room was very comfortable, clean and spacious and had a wonderful view of the top of Mont Avic. After a full day at the SPA or hiking in the mountains, the chef and staff at the restaurant managed to surprise us with something special every evening. Thank you to Ms. Kiara for her great and subtle sense of humour, to Mr Giovanni for his excellent advice on choosing dishes made of local produce and to Ms. Menuela for her charming smile. We send our best wishes and we are sure we will meet again soon.

Mont Avic Resort provides the facilities, location, and service of a 4-5 star hotel at the price of a 3 star hotel. Gorgeous, almost overwhelming location that provides easy access to the beautiful Parco Naturale Mont Avic. Beautifully designed hotel and grounds with great attention to detail. Giovanni and Nino were very warm and gracious in their service and helping us with our special requests. The park has easy trails to navigate and hike. I highly recommend the resort and the park to anyone who loves beauty and nature. We hope to go back again, soon!

Firstly i must mention the location of this lovely hotel, the drive from the autostrada up the mountain is challenging to say the least, it has more hairpin bends than anywhere i know!!,this does mean you're going to get good views from the hotel and this is what you get, lovely clean air, quaint pool and Jacuzzi ,topped off with a functional alpine style room, you pretty much have to use the hotel restaurant unless you want the 20min drive back down a mountainside before you even find a place to eat!!, this is my only negative option as the food options were not to our liking, it was also very overpriced , the reception staff were very good and helpful a plus in any book.

Nice and modern hotel with a small outside pool attracted me first. The room is spacious and you can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley from the restaurant. However I was disappointed with their dinner which was OK. I had a feeling that the chef or the kitchen staff was just doing their job without any passion. Another thing which bothered me was that they put three of us at a table right next to a big table of the very noisy group of 10 Italians and we could not talk over the table. The restaurant had so many other vacant tables and so I asked the staff if we could take another table, away from the noisy group. She said "no" because the other tables were not big enough for us three. She could have put together two tables, but she did not want to do it! So again, I felt that the staff were working with minimum efforts, not trying enough to please the clients..... I do not feel like going back there. Sorry!

Dear Guest, We read with great concern your disappointement shared through this website pertaining to your recent stay at our Hotel/restaurant. We don't feel our staff is working without passion here because we normally work to please the host. We value your comments to be very constructive which will certainly assist us to improve. No need to say, we are certainly distressed to be unable to offer the good service at the restaurant, for which we would like to express our most profuse apologies. Kind regards

We had a great time on our holiday in the Alps, and the hotel itself was nice, but if I were to plan this trip again I would have chosen a different hotel.
The positive:
-Front desk personnel was very nice and helpful (everyday they were available for suggestions. I also wanted to surprise my husband on our arrival with a dessert, and they prepared a delicious berries and cream cake that was waiting for us)
-The outdoor pool/jacuzzi (NOT hot tub, as the water is just warm, but it was perfectly comfortable for soaking in the amazing view of the mountains)
-Clean and new rooms with a chic Alpine vibe (and whatever the general fragrance is that is placed in the halls around the hotel, it’s absolutely delicious). Our room was a very comfortable size and had a balcony.
- It is located at the literal doorstep of the Mont Avic Natural Park

The negative:
-The most limited breakfast I’ve ever encountered. We were there for 4 mornings, and the offerings remained exactly the same. Very limited in terms of savory (2-3 types of cold cuts and cheese each), no vegetables at all, the cakes were excessively sweet, and no hot dishes - not even eggs, which were only available a la carte at an extra charge.
-On two nights when I wanted to shower after a long day out trekking (around 22:00) there was no hot water. The staff said it might be due to changing the pool water... there were also some issues with the air/heating in the room not working properly.
-The Hotel is at the tip top of the mountain. It takes a full 18-20 minutes to just go up and down the mountain! Making it rather an effort to just go out for dinner. (We did not try the hotel restaurant, and if it were a little more in line with the price, it certainly would have been easier to have the option of staying in). Having a car to get around is non-negotiable, and it’s a good thing our rental was diesel. The nearest town is about a 25 minute drive from the hotel.

Other things to note:
-The rooms do not have a mini fridge. We bought some cheese and they were happy to keep it refrigerated for us at the hotel bar
-The spa is small (nice, not the most luxurious, but in line with a 3 star hotel). They try to control the amount of people that use it at a time by keeping entry by reservation. If there are 2 couples using it at the same time it’s fine, but 3 already feels crowded. The combination of Finnish sauna and plunge pool filled with cold water was the best part.

Both the location and the views are absolutely beautiful. The spa was small but lovely, the pool looked good although we didn’t use it. I hate to sound like a snob but the restaurant is just not as good as it thinks it is. The food is tasty, but not special, and it is pretty expensive. Our room (with a terrace) was simple and comfortable but probably not befitting of the price tag (plastic cups, no fridge, cheap hairdryer, tea makings not replenished etc). I dearly wanted to love this place (the trip was for a special birthday and I rarely pay this much for a hotel), but in reality I was a little disappointed.

I don't usually leave reviews but this place in an absolute gem! Perfect setting, wonderful staff, amazing food and all at a price point which is very reasonable! I think places like this are rare these days where you get service like this at a good price point!

A special thank you to Aisha & Chiara who were fantastic to us, so helpful, so friendly and did their absolute upmost to make this stay amazing.

The food at the restaurant here is outstanding too!

Dear S6695AGevam, Thank you for your nice review and for spending a few days with us at the Mont Avic Resort & Wellness. It was indeed a pleasure to welcome you again after your visit last year. Since the opening of the new spa, we have had customers looking for peace and quiet. We have thus adopted the new policy for this area, which is reserved for people over the age of 15. We fully realise that this may limit the arrival of families with small children, and we regret this, but we decided to make this choice in order to guarantee our guests maximum relaxation. A warm greeting from me and all my staff and we hope there will be an opportunity to welcome you again.

This is one of those places that on one hand we would keep to ourselves, so lovely and cosy it is, yet on the other hand we want to share it with as many people as possible, because it deserves the whole world to know about it…
It all starts accross the Alps, in a marvelous country: Italy!
🇮🇹 Thanks to a great couple-friends who told us so much about it that we decided to go!

We have gone two times so far, just a couple of days at first, then several more, and we plan on coming back!!

This place we talk about is called the Mont Avic Resort & Wellness, and as they say: "Il silenzio è il nuovo lusso!"
It is located in Covarey (Champdepraz) at the beginning of the Mont Avic natural park. It has it all for you to LOVE your vacation… Wonderful crew of people who love what they do (and you feel it!), splendid mountain location, superb hiking spots, breathtaking views, charming restaurant with scrumptious food, finest selection of wines, and deserts cooked in front of you… A peaceful beautiful spa… Lovely rooms… Calm, kind atmosphere, which is difficult to find nowadays… The nature is simply stunning… Imagine having your breakfast at the sound of bells on wandering cows and the deers that you can see just a few steps away in the wild…

If you want to really relax, enjoy great food, breathe mountain air and just feel good - this is the place for you! It’s a real pearl!
#montavicresort, #greatstaff, #greatspa, #greatfood, #italy #besthotel, #nature, #hiking, #greatviewhotel, #amazing, & #bestvacation sum up everything...
