The prices charged put this B&B in the budget category but it is so much more! Although a little off the beaten track you won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay at Baytree Cottage B&B. Loraine and Martin are lovely friendly people who treat you like family. The cottage and grounds are superb – set in 10 acres of beautiful countryside, accommodation is spacious, well presented and has everything needed for a comfortable stay in an atmosphere that is tranquil and relaxing. Loraine is a mine of useful information, giving great advice about places to visit and the best routes to take. Breakfast when we stayed was just what the doctor ordered and set us for the day every day!

My partner and recently had a week self catering at The Potting Shed 0ne of two lets ( The other being The Garden shed) on the site at Baytree Cottage, Cwmffrwd. It was a very well appointed lodge and had everything you could possibly need for a stay there. The Owners were very helpful and were available if we needed them but generally left us to enjoy the privacy in the garden. It is situated just a few miles from Carmarthen itself and with good access to lots of lovely locations in Wales including the National Botanical Garden just 10 mins away.

We have just had a lovely break at Baytree cottage, Our room was spotless clean with a quality en-suite bathroom and comfy bed and furnishing. The cottage is surrounded by a lovely well kept garden. Our stay included a wonderful daily breakfast and the hosts were extremely helpful and informative. I would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a nice South Wales location.

We went to Wales house hunting over the weekend, had booked a B&B via booking.com. Unfortunately when we contacted the booked B&B on Saturday evening as we could not find the property only to be told by the owner she had no room for us despite checking with her if she had availability earlier in the week, when she actually told us we were the only guests. So panic set in as we had appointments booked to see more houses on the following day. We phoned around and stumbled on the Baytree, they could not have been more helpful. Agreed that even though they don’t normally do B&B on the weekend we could stay there. We arrived 20 mins later to a very warm welcome and a gorgeous room. The following morning we had the best breakfast for a long time and the friendliest hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. If anyone is ever in the area we would highly recommend a stay here we will certainly stay here again if the need arises. Richard and Karen

Really cannot fault this beautiful and tranquil accommodation. Spacious, clean, warm room. Very comfortable bed, excellent facilities. All the nice little extras were fab. All toiletries provided, all you need to take is your toothbrush and toothpaste. Lovely Welsh cakes, fruit loaf, biscuits, grapes and mints await your arrival alongside the refreshments in your room. The location is absolutely superb. Peaceful, tranquil, relaxing and beautiful. Lorraine and Martin are the perfect hosts, Dudley the dog and Peter the cat are just as welcoming. We travel a lot and have never had a breakfast as tasty and plentiful as theirs. A real gem and a valuable find. Everything was perfect. 👌

Stayed at the potting shed for 2 nights for a family wedding. It's an amazing place, had everything we needed and the best bed we've had in a b& b. Had a beautiful verandah were you could sit and have your morning cuppa or a glass of wine under the stars at night 😊 the entire place was spotless. Loraine & Martin are wonderful hosts nothing is too much trouble for them, they got our car started after our battery died! Thank you so much. We will definitely return 😊 Heather & Stuart

I stayed at this lovely B & B whilst visiting family in the area. The room was really spacious, spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard, the bed was really comfy with quality bedding which made for a great nights sleep! Breakfast was tasty with local produce and a good selection. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I will most definitely be returning on my next visit to Wales!

We stayed in the potting shed 2 nights and we had a fabulous time. The cottage was simply stunning, very clean and there was everything we needed. We had breakfast in the main property and the breakfast was simply delicious!! Location was great; Not far from Carmathen and the shops. But it was very quiet and felt like being in the countryside, whilst not too isolated. Would recommend 5/5, great value for money. Expectations exceeded.

Stayed at the Baytree bed and breakfast for one night only as we were attending a wedding...but can honestly say we didn't want to leave. This has to be one of the best b and b's we have ever stayed in. It's a beautiful place with stunning gardens and our room was wonderful. We were made to feel so welcome and will definitely be returning! Fabulous breakfast too. Thank you...we loved it! X
