We were staying nearby so decided to pop in for a pint and maybe something to eat. When we walked in it was a bit like the pub in American Werewolf where everyone stops and looks at you but the staff were friendly and the beer was ok. We decided to get something to eat and as it was Sunday...

Lovely location. When you imagine a pub lunch, you imagine a warm, helpful team that promote a family environment. Unfortunately the barmaid in charge on our visit was the complete opposite and made every effort to be as difficult as possible. Drinks orders were incorrect and when these were questioned, we were made to feel like we were putting the...

The food in this pub is absolutely delicious. This pub has just been refurbished and is a quiet country pub. Suitable for couples or families or family occasions. Set in a small village is ideal for a stop over as well as for meals. If you do decide to stop over then you will be in the heart of the...

The whole dining experience was awful, it is a dull dreary pub serving mediocre food even the children commented on how bad the food was the only pleasant person in the place was the barman, a clue should have been the absence of a local clientel.

We came upon this pub whilst just driving around, we turned a corner and there it was, we were hungry so stopped for lunch. It is in a beautiful setting and the food was really good, the staff in the bar and in the restaurant were very friendly and the meal was served quickly and it was very hot, so...

Excellent village pub, Sunday dinner outstanding served from 12.00 until 6.30 we called in at 4.00 and could not believe what a lovely pub it was, we were led to the very impressive restaurant, Sunday dinner outstanding. Staff really good considering how busy they were, reasonably priced drinks & food. Highly recommend.

After a lengthy refurb I was eager to see the results and try out the food. We arrived at 5.30pm (very early) and found the place a little chilly but we sat by the fire and soon warmed up. We both chose lamb shank which was absolutely delicious. The star of the show being red cabbage - wonderful. The staff...

We booked here for a meal with family & friends after recommendations from other friends and we were not disappointed!! The food was excellent & great value for money and on the plus side the drinks aren't expensive either! The service was great, nice welcoming friendly staff. After our meal we sat in front of a warm cosy log fire,...
