Le Soly is a lovely hotel close to town & restaurants. The rooms were comfortable, clean & warm with an outlook over the river flowing by. The owners were very friendly & helpful, explaining to us the local roads & area. Umbrellas were provided for our wet walk into town for dinner. The breakfast service was great with many food...

We are so pleased to have found Le Soly hotel in Morzine. Cute family owned hotel, excellent service, so clean and with attention to detail. Lovely flowers, carpentry, everything you'd need all year round. Great location just a short walk from Morzine, with endless outdoor activities at the doorstep. Our balcony overlooked a lovely river. There is a small outdoor...

We booked into Le Soly hotel for a fortnight for our skiing holiday in January. We were not sure exactly what to expect but we did know that they could very flexible about the booking arrangements even at short notice. One of our party was unable to travel for the first week but it was no problem to the hotel...

In my opinion the people (owners and staff) and Le Soly Varnay has nice folk in abundance. The building itself follows the very (cosy) familiar style for the Alps: largely wooden construction, pleasantly laid out. The building is well maintained and our room was, if a little small, clean and well appointed. The bathroom indeed had a bath, not just...

First and foremost, if you stay here you will not be disappointed. The staff are great, especially the 2 main ladies, and the food is 5 courses every night except fondue night and cooked to a high standard. It comprises of soup, a salad type dish, the main course, cheese and pudding. The 2 food photos are 2 of the...

We stayed a week here. A family run hotel. Immaculate and very clean. Slightly dated but this added to the charm! We had room 4....at the back on the hotel on the ground floor behind reception. A great room with the sound of the river adjacent. (we had the balcony door open at night and it was a constant sound,...

Hotel le Soly is a basic hotel but very good value for its 2* rating and a perfect base for skiing the Portes du Soleil area. As noted by other reviewers its staff are very friendly and accommodating (e.g. they kindly allowed me to check out, ski for a morning and return to shower/change in their sauna suite prior to...

Great little hotel in a great spot. We travelled with Crystal ski and you wont hear me saying anything positive about them! Apparently 3 texts from the rep is all you get these days. Anyway, back to the hotel - other reviews will tell you that the decor is tired. Its pretty similar to all French hotels I've stayed in....

Stayed with friends on a boarding holiday, via Crystal. This is a two star, family run hotel. Helpful, friendly owners and staff. Some reviews seem to have been written based on a 5 star. It has good basic rooms. Lots of storage. Good bathroom with shower. TV, although mostly French channels. You can get BBC World Service. Only one power...

We stayed at the Hotel Soly during our recent ski trip and really enjoyed it. The rooms may be quite basic, but they are clean and spacious enough. The staff couldn't be more helpful (driving one of our party to the doctors for an injury, changing the menu to suit our needs etc), and the food is great value too...
