We really can't say enough good things about Ty Bryn. It's really quite magical, from its position overlooking the River Wye, to the elegant way that Nickie, the host, has restored it and furnished it with such flair. This was the first time we'd stayed at Ty Bryn and I am very glad we happened upon it as we can really see that it will now be a regular place for us to spend our short breaks.

I certainly won't forget the first morning when we opened the curtains in our room to see the view of sunrise over the lush valley and the River Wye. It's pretty special, and I just want everyone to experience it.

We'd booked to stay at Ty Bryn one night either side of our honeymoon in Cornwall, to break the journey. As lovely as Cornwall is, when we arrived at Ty Bryn for our first stop-over, we ended up wishing we could have just spent the week there! Nickie is such a lovely person - so kind and hospitable, we could have chatted for hours. She was so accommodating and kind when we arrived, even when we had a slight travel delay. The rooms are spotlessly clean, fresh, comfortable, and beautifully designed. They have the most elegant taste but are so warm and unpretentious, the loveliest I can remember staying in with wonderfully comfortable beds and pillows. We stayed in Thistle on the way down, and Daffodil on the way back. Both have that amazing views.

Breakfast in the beautiful dining room was delicious and set us up for our onward journey each way. We were sad to leave and are already hatching a plan for when we can come back!

Thanks again Nickie!

What we liked the most was the hospitality, attention and kindness of the owner (Nickie) that makes you feel like home. The village and the location of the place is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The views and landscape are like a paint. It is also close to the most interesting places in the south of Wales.
The cleanliness and details of the Ty Bryn are unbeatable.
We strongly recommend this place to which we will return for sure.

After an extremely warm welcome from our host, Nickie, she presented us with tea and refreshments on the terrace, which allowed us to take in those magnificent views. Our room was tastefully decorated and furnished, which was reflected throughout this lovely B & B. The facilities and amenities here are above and beyond, with every attention to detail to ensure the guests have an excellent stay. A good, freshly cooked breakfast, all of a very high standard. Couldn't fault this well-appointed holiday accommodation.

A fantastic B&B nestled in a picturesque location, every need and request was answered by the knowledgeable and helpful Nickie. As soon as we arrived a friendly face greeted us and made us feel extremely welcome, from local knowledge to superb homemade treats our stay at Ty Bryn was sensational.

Couldn’t fault this place for cleanliness, staff, location, breakfast or homeliness; our only despair is that we weren’t able to stay longer!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us. I'm delighted you enjoyed your time in the Wye Valley. We wish you could have stayed longer too, given there's so much to explore and enjoy here. Hope to see you again soon and do book direct to get the best rate (and support small, local businesses too) Best wishes, Nickie x

We enjoyed our first visit so much that we just had to return and were not disappointed by the superb views, beautiful accommodation and wonderful hostess Nickie!!! The area has so much to offer and we will be returning again in the Autumn to exploit the outdoor activities further (when it’s not so hot!!).
As ever, we cannot fault our stay with amazing breakfasts, a clean and comfy room, and Nickie’s warm welcome and knowledge to help us make the most of our stay really made our holiday. It felt like we were staying with friends and felt genuinely sad to leave....but never fear Nickie and Phil we shall be returning!!
