Big, cheerful, noisy hotel bar that doubles as the local pub. Food is Sizzling pub/Wetherspoon standard. Shortage of real ales and craft beers, but extensive drinks menu in other areas. Appears to do live music certain nights.

Stayed overnight on business. It was very, and difficult to get to the bar. The facilities were good - the gym and spin studio. Without being two sexist, being female it's not a hotel I'd feel comfortable being in on my own as over populated with men and apparently this is the norm. One negative is the signage in the...

Have stayed and eaten/drank here on a number of occasions. Always experienced a friendly greeting. Food and drink are good value, with a decent breakfast and on a Sunday a brilliant carvery. Rooms are basic, but clean, well maintained, comfortable and good value. Hotel has good parking facilities and pretty much all rooms (numbered over 3 or 4) are well...

Stayed here the night before my wedding. The rooms are clean and well kept, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice for a cheap room. Would stay again :) Free WiFi throughout is a bonus.

The Belfry does look a bit tired in places but that is not reflected in the service or food - both of which were very good. As others have said, the restaurant area is rather dark and lacks atmosphere and the carpet is a bit tatty in places. On 2 mornings we had an excellent breakfast, cooked to order and...

Absolutely brilliant venue, food was amazing, entertainment brilliant, staff outstanding The only criticism I had was a member of the public, cavorting with a gentleman in the toilets until one of the bar staff politely informed her where the ladies was ! For my wife to then witness an altercation in the ladies with two other females, who were minding...

We went to the Belfry for a family meal. We sat in the "restaurant", which is a large empty room! The food was excellent, such a shame someone hasn't sorted out the ambiance. That however wasn't missing in the bar where everyone was having a good laugh. All in all a good evening, could have been fantastic!!

We stayed at the Belfrey to attend a wedding. We stayed for two nights. The room was small, and a little faded in decor, but very clean and reflected the rate charged, good value for money. The Belfrey is a busy hotel, pub and restaurant just right for an evening meal or lunch. The rooms are at the rear of...

My wife and I have been to the Hotel for a five night stay. We were on the ground floor in the new accommodation block. The room was very well equipped and spotless. There are one or two minor things that need to be tweaked but all in all the rooms were very good. The food was very good and...
