Rancho Cecilia was definitely not for us. My friend and I were originally looking at staying 3 nights, but left after the first. The place is VERY secluded. They neither serve breakfast nor any other meal or drinks (when reading these reviews, I'm getting the impression they might have done so in the past), so you'll have to head out...

We always appreciate reviews, good or bad, as it provides us with feedback so we can improve our information for future guests. This guest and a friend requested a 3 night stay via our web site. This was a last minute request which we usually do not do, but we did have 1 of our rental homes available so we...

Rancho Cecilia was a great place to stay. Liz and Scott were really accommodating and helped us out a lot. It was nice to be out of the tourist zone for a while and rides to the beach and San Juan during the day are easy enough to get if you don't have a car. I wasn't able to connect...

Our stay at Rancho Cecilia was just wanted we needed after staying the week prior in the bustling city centers of Granada and Leon. It was perfectly peaceful, and we loved hearing the sounds of the jungle all night and the monkeys overhead. Also, having the kitchen to cook was superb, and was a quick walk to restaurants and a...

clean and tidy, in the nature big time so don't stay if youre scared of the creepy crawlys. Highly recommend staying here. Affordable, in between all the great beaches but far enough away for a real chilled experience. 3 nights wasn't enough. Only thing is a wish they had an ecopool so you could chill after a sweaty day at...

We rented one of the Jungle Cabanas, and it was perfect for the two of us. Very simple, but everything we needed - knowing we didn't need a lot! There are two cabanas adjacent to each other in one structure. The second unit wasn't rented during our stay, and I often wondered if I would have enjoyed it as much...

We originally booked the Casita for a month and loved it so much we stayed for another month. Liz and Scott were super helpful and friendly, the Casita has everything you need for a peaceful and relaxed holiday. As you come up the driveway, you know you have made the right decision. Surrounded by bush, with monkeys, squirrels, birds and...

Liz and Scott's place is quite amazing for those looking for something more quiet and secluded. Everything was as advertised, and the cabanas and ranch itself are very cool. San Juan del Sur and Playas Maderas are still close enough if you want to get out for a bit, but the ranch enough away from the overcrowded touristy spots. Overall,...

Our small casita was 10 km outside of San Juan Del Sur and perfect for a quiet getaway. What did we do for 3 weeks in the jungle you ask? Absolutely nothing. And it was just what we needed. Apart from cooking, and doing the dishes; the two of us laid around in hammocks with a good book, spent the...

Our stay at Rancho Cecilia was very good! The amenities were great and so were the hosts and staff ! Sometimes electricity ran out because of the sun powered houses but it came back to normal during the day. A very good local food and not so expensive restaurant is just 10 min walk and the beaches are about 30...

This was the very first place we stayed at after arriving in Nicaragua. Liz the owner had helped us set up transportation from the airport and was super accommodating in making sure we made it there. We, a group of three friends, rented out one of the cabanas and it was the perfect set up for us. This place is...
