Great pub, with a traditional feel. Stayed in a cabin, didn't end up with time to meet the alpacas but will make sure we do next time. River to play in, Great family feel. Will be returning as my daughter was really sad to leave.

Just returned from a weekend camping with the alpacas at the crown inn. Can only say that it was amazing! Caroline Richard and the team are so friendly and helpful. Pizza night in the pub was delicious. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced, too. The best part of course was staying in thevfield with the beautiful alpacas and the cutest little goats. Our little ones will never forget the wonderful experience. They had so much fun. Our littlest, who is six, has decided that this is where she wants to live forever! All seven of us loved every last minute of our stay, and 100% recommend this beautiful campsite.

We’ve literally just left from an amazing weekend and already can’t wait to go back. We stayed in kingfisher cabin and loved it, it feels like your in a tree house. It was cozy and warm and plenty of room for the 5 of us. We ate at the pub on both nights and had fabulous meals (definitely recommend pizza night). The pub snd campsite are on a picturesque river which had my partner and children fishing and playing in the ford. There is plenty for the children to do which had us not see them for hours. The staff are all friendly and make you feel like family. Definitely worth a visit! Can’t wait to visit again

We were lucky enough to help our friends move to Wales from Portsmouth. We stayed in a cabin at the Crown Inn, it was a picturesque sight, the cabin doors opened up to the river, you felt in the middle of nowhere, perfect for relaxing. We had dinner at the pub, all the meals were deliciously cooked by Caroline, we were very honoured to be the first to try her Sunday Roast which we 100% recommend. The family made us feel very welcomed from the moment we walked through the doors to the day we left, nothing was to much trouble. If peace and tranquility is what you are in need of, then look no further than this lovely family run pub and campsite. We can't wait to return ..

The trip to this campsite was an amazing experience and will 100% be coming back!!!! The site itself was clean, tidy and idyllic with wonderful pitches right on the riverside. The whole family really enjoyed playing in the river however cold! The pub is a fantastic family run business and Rich & Caroline made us feel welcome and was super friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them! Their kids even played with our little ones an were also helpful. Saturday was pizza night and their pizzas even converted my non pizza eater husband to order an eat two!!! Overall warm and friendly and a lovely place to do a bit of wild camping. See you again soon!

We had been staying in a nearby cottage for a few days and decided we didn’t want to cook one evening. The Crown was at the end of the road, so was the perfect choice. Caroline and Richard could not have been more welcoming or friendly. We had a lovely meal in great surroundings. Thank you and we all wish you well

Just returned home from the most perfect weekend camping at the crown. The owners and staff are amazing and friendly, the campsite is beautiful being right along the river, spotlessly clean as is the pub, gardens and facilities. We took my 2 Children who both had the best time exploring the forests and playing in the river. We will definitely be returning for plenty more weekends in this little piece of paradise. Thank you all. Marc, Kelly, Dewi & Ceylan.

We stayed at the Crown's campsite for a night and were delighted by it. You approach across a ford in the River Alwen. There are only a few well-spaced pitches along the river back. You can get food and drink from the pub or cook your own in the fire pits provided. There's even a swimming spot under the bridge. A truly magical place.

Beautiful location and back to basics camping. Camp fires allowed and camp on the riverside in a totally unspoilt valley. Quaint pub with lovely friendly owners. The Aspalls and Kronenburg were both good. Tasty food at reasonable prices for dinner. And a lovely cooked breakfast with plenty of tea and coffee. We will be back.

You won't get a warmer welcome (or a better breakfast, should you so choose) than here. Crossing a ford to the campsite, and walking through lovely beer gardens to get to a pub with great beer, you won't be disappointed. Been twice so far and looking forward to many more.
