Mark, myself and our pet dog Purdie have just returned from a week's stay in this beautiful and peaceful part of Wales. As a wheelchair user I found the cottage let to be the most easiest and relaxing places I have stayed in a long time. The owner of Pen Y Bont is such a lovely person, and will stop at anything to have a friendly chat with you. Beautiful gardens ( all taken care of by Rosemary - WOW!) The cottage we stayed in was clean and tidy with ample space to accommodate a wheelchair and a large dog! There was always something to do and see during the daytime despite the weather being a little wet to start with, however we didn;t let that put us off walking along the sea front and heading out further to visit this lovely place. Everything turned out right in the end with gorgeous bright sunshine by day then beautiful, brightly lit sky at night from the stars which is something we rarely see in the north here. Highly recommended to anyone to stay here without a doubt. We just want to send a big thank you Rosemary, for a very warm and welcoming stay and we are already thinking of ournext stay with you in your beautiful part of the world. Thank you again and we will see you again in the near future. xx

Yvonne and I have just returned home from a three night stay at Pen y Bont, to say that Rosemary made us welcome was an understatement! The room was comfortable, the breakfast absolutely superb, with practically anything that you could want possible. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit iffy during our visit, but we found some interesting places to visit. Rosemary is a lovely lady, always ready to chat and never too busy to give information and advice. We hope to see you again in the future x

Stayed last week just for one night but such a warm welcome from rosemary. A lovely clean guesthouse with all you could ask for, the superior room is very spacious and accommodated my 2 young sons cots easily and we still had room to walk around the room and use the sofa. Breakfast choice was vast and the fresh fruit lovely. Superb location, we will visit again!xx

Just got back from a four night stay at the Pen Y Bont guest house. The location was great for going into Amroth , Wisemans Bridge, Saudersfoot and Tenby either by car , or if you are an energetic person walking. Rosemary the owner of the guest house is a lovely person, and nothing is too much trouble. The place is very well kept, and the accomodation and the gardens are to a very high standard, the breakfast is exellent, i would recommend the Pen Y Bont to anybody thinking of paying a visit to this part of the country. Brilliant Tim & Christine Sheffield.

Thank you for your Lovely comments. It was my pleasure to welcome you both and of course Lunar! I am so glad you enjoyed the garden and other walks in the local area. This really is a beautiful part of the world and I love sharing my knowledge,of the more secluded and less well known beaches and walks, with guests. I hope to see you again one day. Rosemary

After a disastrous night at a campsite we cut our losses and booked into Pen-y-Bont. This saved our holiday. The accomodation is clean, comfortable and spacious, and set in an enourmous garden. Rosemary made us especially welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for her; providing weather forecasts, local knowledge and even bringing our towels and swimming gear in from the washing line each evening. A delicious breakfast of cereals, toast and cooked food, served in a light and airy dining room, set us up for each day. I have no hesitation in recommending this guesthouse and we'll definately be returning,

Our German Shepherd loved this place & so did we! We had a warm welcome and a relaxing stay. Our room was large and was spotless as was the rest of the place. The grounds are super with lots of great places to sit and enjoy the view. There was a nice choice at breakfast and Rosemary was a fantastic host. 🐾 up from Betty 🐕 for dog friendliness!

Rosemary's guesthouse is set in substantial and beautifully maintained gardens. The house is immaculately decorated and clean. Our bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and with ensuite bathrooms consisting of a spacious power shower, WC and basin. Plenty of towels, soaps and shampoos were provided. But, it was the owner, Rosemary who made our visit so special. We had arrived by train prepared to walk to Pen y Bont but without checking how practical this would be from the nearest station, Kilgetty. The shortest route is 2.4miles but along the A477, a fast and busy trunk road with narrow verges in places. We now realise we could have avoided the A477 in part by walking a little further but with a poor mobile signal, all communication was difficult. However, we managed to phone Pen y Bont and Rosemary immediately insisted on driving out to pick us up and taxi us back to the house. Rosemary's warmth, hospitality and professionalism in maintaining a beautifully appointed guesthouse made our stay outstanding. I would love to return but probably by car another time. Very close to Pen y Bont is a beautiful wooded footpath down to the coast at Amroth which is the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The track also passes through the lovely National Trust Colby Woodland Garden also accessible to non members.

From the initial telephone call to book until the final goodbye on the Sunday morning Rosemary made our stay at Pen y Bont memorable and personal. She was excited at the prospect of a proposal at her guest house and put the champagne on ice and suggested the use of the beautiful garden with seating area as it was a fine summers day. The guest house is easily accessible - on the main road but the surrounding trees and grounds muffle the sound of the traffic and provide a scenic environment to relax in if needed. The grounds are well maintained (by Rosemary herself) and any keen gardeners will appreciate the time and effort that has gone into creating the picturesque surroundings. Breakfast was individually prepared and the service personalisd for each table. Although we didn't take our dogs the guest house is dog friendly and there is enough space in the gardens for that early morningor late evening stroll for your four legged friend. All told, we will be returning in the future to stay at Pen y Bont and would recommend it to any couple wishing to stay in comfort with fantastic service when visiting South Pembrokeshire.

Very good clean bedroom with excellent wet room style walk in shower en-suite facilities. Breakfast was very good too, with all the normal options, I went for the tradition cooked breakfast, freshly cooked to order. Friendly and welcoming.
