We extended our stay to 3 nights, because Ann was so nice and helpful with her recommendations! Truro is a great starting point to explore surrounding sights, just as Newquay, St. Ives, St. Michael's Mount or the Eden Project.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know this pleasant lady who seems to have a heart of gold. Always chatty, lending a hand to help & a kind of motherly love she bestows to her guests. I won't hesitate to stay in her house which is a home to everyone who stays. I miss you Ann. I hope... More

What a lovely place, Ann ( the landlady ) is fantastic she is a delightful lady, rooms are clean and welcoming, booked at the last minute but Ann took the trouble to find us another B&B for a further 3 nights as she was fully booked after the first night.. The Bay Tree would definitely be my first choice if... More

Ann, a very friendly and lovely woman. I have spent three months in her house and my feeling was: living in my house. I recommend this b&b. The place is very near the train station and the city centre. Rooms are clean. Ann have not serviced traditional English breakfast, however the breakfast is delicious, with fruits, yogurt and good food.

We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend as we were visiting family in Cornwall. We were fortunate to book in here last minute as they had had a cancellation and were pleased at the price of 55 pound per night with a shower. The place itself is what you would expect from an old fashioned B&B - Old fashioned... More

I first visited Baytree on my 40th birthday. I had just had some kind of stomach flu at the time and Ann was most helpful and kind. About 3 years later, I paid a second visit and was delighted to see that the same landlady was still running it. This past week I turned 50 and, again, I spent it... More

We have stayed here on a number of occasions and we are always given a friendly, hospitable welcome by Ann for whom nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are large, clean and very reasonably priced. Yes there is no en suite but it really is never a problem as there are only a small number of guests staying here.... More

To say it's dated would be an understatement. Who knows when since it had a lick of paint or a facelift. Furnishings were shabby. Despite advertising 3 bathrooms there was only one which had to be shared with all other guests. The landlady was very odd. Kept walking into the room unannounced and felt the need to talk endlessly. One... More

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, some you win, some you lose. I found this review quite pathetic. My past reviews would tell people what I am like when they read them. I took you in as a favour from another guest house that you were booked in to for 2 nights. As I had a block booking for a... More

I arrived in Truro in last bank holiday without getting any accommodation. Me and my friend knocked at the door of this B&B just to try our luck. As Anna opened the door, she looked even more worried for us than ourselves as her B&B was fully booked. It was so touching to see that she kept phoning other B&Bs... More
