Nice room seaview overlooking local beaches. However, 4* in Greece usually only means 3* as is White Rocks case. Buffet meals boring and same every day, rarely any Greek food included (we like Greek food so had to go to local restaurants to get it). Pool too small & not enough poolside proper beds. Away from the pool back-breaking great big beanbags only on offer. Despite masses of pines in the grounds no other shady areas available to sit in apart from the hotel terrace. Right by the road so seaview room essential.

Hotel's Favourite
On our arrival at this property we were taken back amazing views that's all I can say . Spotless in every part of the hotel, staff were amazing always so helpful and friendly , location was great for Lassi and Argostoli. KCQ in Lassi is the place to book trips too. Food was amazing just could do with a different way of having the hot water for your cuppa in the morning. All areas of hotel were fabulous and I would stay and recommend to everyone I know , this is the place to stay in Lassi just outstanding.

Had a great time at White Rocks. Food was very good, bungalow overlooking the ocean was beautiful, roomy and clean and great views. Staff in all areas very helpful and attentive, especially front desk. The beach is a bit rocky but with shoes is OK. Spent a lot of time snorkelling around to the tiny private sandy beach about 150 yards to the left of the beach. The water was crystal clear and it was like having our own little hideaway, saw no one on it all week, stunning but not easy to get to unless your confident in deep water. Pool is nice and cold to cool off in, and the beanbag beds are so comfortable - they are just a delight. Reception sorted a car and we did the caves (4/10) and Melsanni blue waters 9/10. Then went to Assos town which was stunning and better than Fiskado which was nice, but didn't have the feel of Assos. Went to Argostoli to see the Loggerhead turtles, that was a real highlight, but get there before 10am so see them as the fishing boats finish emptying there nets then they go, such graceful things. Didn't much like the local town and the walk at night is a bit hairy if your not confident, only went once for some mixers. Only two very small gripes, coffee IMO should be included with dinner at night, not a paid for extra, and the bank of lights for the room alarms, smoke etc, were so bright and flashed all night so had to cover them up.

We chose the White Rocks Hotel after extensive research as it had all our requirements for a peaceful relaxing holiday. We stayed in a sea view room in the main building which had plenty of space and was kept immaculate by the house maids. Fresh towels and beach towels daily. Tea and coffee, fridge and safe. Plenty wardrobe space which was great for our 2 week stay. The glass panel on the balcony was great for uninterrupted views. To be able to hear the waves from your bed for me is bliss. We mixed it up daily between pool, private beach and the beach below our balcony. The private beach is small but lovely and as others have mentioned beach shoes are handy. The public beach has quite a few steps down to it and a security gate so only hotel guests can come back in. We didn’t find the steps a problem and the beach is lovely, Sandy and clear water. We have been to lots of beaches in different countries and this is my favourite by far. 2 Sun loungers €10 for the day. The pool has the comfiest loungers, music and snacks and drinks available from the bar. The only negative was other guests racing to put towels on beds. The pool opens at 9am and we would queue however when the chain was removed to open some guests jumped over other chains and ran to the beds therefore ignoring the queue. Not the hotels fault, down to rude individuals. It was our first time staying anywhere HB as we normally choose B&B and eat in different places at night but it was fantastic. Great variety and plenty of variations each night. The salads and fruit salads were lovely as well as the cakes. I don’t think my husband had the same soup any night. Well done to the chef. The holiday was a well needed recharge as well as Anniversary for us and that is what we definitely got. We didn’t venture to the places we planned other than Argostoli as we just wanted to relax. Staff members were friendly band polite. Special mention to Sophie in the restaurant who always remembered our drinks orders and would have them ready for us, making us feel welcome. Also to Cristos at the pool bar who would know our lunch order and drinks before we would even ask. He was the happiest most polite staff member at the pool and took time to acknowledge everyone including children playing. I would highly recommend staying at White Rocks Hotel. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to celebrating and recharging again in Summer 2024.

Stayed here in June this year, what a lovely hotel, in a great position for exploring the local area & further afield. Never had a problem getting a sun bed by the pool & the bar staff came around the pool frequently delivering your lovely cold drinks. Quite a steep climb back to our bungalow but we had been warned, and we did have a lovely view from our room so can't complain. Really enjoyed a trip to Argostoli by taxi to see the turtles, a must see. We did a Jet2 island tour which was very good & also a tour with KCG in Lassi, can recommend them, as we wanted to go to Assos & Fiskardo so glad we did. They picked us up & dropped us off outside the hotel & it was a really good day out. The buffet food is very good but we did dine out a couple of nights at Ionio & Nefeli for a change, can recommend them both. We did have a problem with the air condtioning whilst we were there but the hotel went above & beyond in resolving the matter, many thanks to Ioli Psalidas the reservations manager who couldn't have done any more for us. All in all a most enjoyable stay thank you White Rocks.

I can’t get over the experience I had in this hotel! The best resort I've ever stayed in! My first positive surprise was that the hotel upgraded our double room to a sea view as it was low season therefore we got to experience cricket and sea noise 24/7 which I loved! The location: probably my favourite thing about this hotel! It is located on the cliff facing the sea in between pine trees with terrace and restaurant from where you can watch sunset every evening. It's remote enough to relax in peace if this is what you want but also close enough to Lassi village which is literally in 10 min walking distance where you can have a drink or dinner in taverns. There are a few shops, a few bars and taverns and quite a few public beaches you can access. It costs 8 euros to get to Argostoli town though by taxi which is 10 min drive, if you want to get out of the village. Probably not ideal for people with mobility issues but at the same time the resort gives older people a perfect opportunity to stretch their legs in between meals and sunbathing breaks. The vibe: Very buojee and luxury vibes inside and outside of the hotel with some cultural/authentic elements in their decor. I'd say this is a perfect hotel for couples, it's extremely romantic. It's also a perfect place for someone who is physically active and doesn't mind walking up and down as the hotel is on the cliff so steps and longer walking distances between the bungalows, beach bar and the main restaurant can't be avoided. They even have a yoga deck at the very end of the resort in a perfectly quiet place for meditation and yoga - loved it! So that gives a bit of a retreat vibe as well. Rooms: The resort offers hotel rooms that are closer to the public beach (right on the doorstep) and bungalows with and without private pools on the other side of the resort right next to the private beach, beach bar and the pool. We had a double sea view room with a balcony on the first floor which was a perfect size for 2, very clean, modern decor. Nice showers with a cheeky little window to the room. Little fridge, kettle, tiny hairdryer ( I always take my own with me anyway), spacious wardrobe - everything you need! The only downside is probably the noise that sometime came from the public beach at night time or the restaurant. If you keep balcony door closed then you'll be fine but because I don't the acoustics with the hotel being on the cliff makes it sound like everything is happening right on your balcony. So earplugs probably is required. If you are staying in the bungalows then you probably won't experience this issue at all as they are located much further. I've noticed there are some rooms facing the road though so I am not sure my experience would be the same f i'd have to stay in one of them… Food: we were on half board basis. They have a buffet, a restaurant and a beach bar on site and they give you an option to swap your evening meal to a lunch meal in the beach bar for example (which I thought is a brilliant idea) which gives you an option then to go out in the evening and have an authentic greek food in a tavern in the village next door! Which is really needed after a few nights of eating the buffet food, I'm not gonna lie. The seafood evenings were great but most of the time it tasted a bit bland. I'd like the food in the buffet to be a bit more authentic. But many positives, too - the salads are always super fresh as Greece has the most amazing tomatoes! And the desert options were endless and super tasty. And I loved the location as it give the terrace feeling. When we swapped our buffet meal to a restaurant meal one evening that was totally different experience. Very tasty food in the restaurant AND strong and tasty cocktails. Beach bar was cool! I loved the location and although the menu was limited the portions were big. Loved their pizza! The hotel and the grounds: They have quite small, stoney but romantic private beach, though when I wanted to read in peace that was the perfect place. If you want sandy beach then the public one is perfect which is right next to the hotel. The fact that there was the option each morning to chose between the pool, the private and the public beach was just superb! The pool felt a bit too small, not sure how they cope in high season. it didn't bother me though as we stayed at the end of September and it wasn't as busy. But boy they have the most comfortable sun beds I've ever slept on! Like mini sofas! Always clean and the pool temperature was perfect. Same as the sea - so warm this time of year! They have what they call a fitness room, which is not gym for sure but you can do some form or exercise still which was very useful. They offered yoga classes twice a week which I didn't go to but you can use the yoga deck whenever you want. There was a live jazz music event 1 evening which was super romantic as the location and the atmosphere was just second to none! But maybe one more evening of similar activity in the hotel would be amazing! The customer service is probably the best I've experience on any Greek island so far and I've been to a few. George in reception- the best guy! Also the 2 girls Athina and Marian - super helpful! Nothing was too much of a bother and always greeted with a smile, gave me all the info about the best taverns close by and towns to visit. Thanks to everyone working there! Thank you White Rocks for this unforgettable experience! I hope I get a chance to come back in the future!

This hotel was fairly close to the airport so that was good. Check in took some time but the staff were friendly. The rooms are all pretty similar in terms of layout but differ in terms on floor and views. It was a modern looking hotel with modern rooms. The rooms were clean containing a large bed with bedside tables either side, somewhere to place the suitcase. A large flatscreen television, and table area with a chair. There was a minifridge and safe. Closet for clothes and hangers. The bathroom was modern but very compact, with an overhead shower over a narrow bath. There is a balcony, but this doesn’t have a light to sit outside in the evening. The grounds are well maintained and do have steps to get around, but that’s expected as the Island is hilly/rocky overall. There is a small private beach area with about 50 sunbeds and the beach is stoney but with calmer waters. The water does get deeper quicker than the public beach which is just on the other side and less stoney (sandier). There is a pool with about 100 sunbeds around the pool and nearby, (mixture of beds and bean bag beds). There is a small fitness room for 2 people at a time, which you have to book. It proved difficult to book at times although no one was using it. They do need to add towels and things to wipe the equipment down which was missing. You could walk to the small Mina/Express supermarkets using the back of the hotel and staying off the main road (about 10m walk). The restaurant is the one area that would benefit from improvements. There is a range of foods for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast has toast, cereal, fruits, and other warm foods. Dinner has salads, pasta, fruits and other warm foods. The non-veg/vegetarian/vegan were all located together and there were not enough serving spoons so everything was being contaminated (eg. meats and cheeses at breakfast - salads at dinner). Staff advised that they could not control what guests did, which is understandable, but they could control the environment by easily grouping the vegetarian/vegan dishes separately. This was a common complaint with other guests that had dietary requirements. The food got repetitive for a 10 day (or even 7 day) stay. A different theme with fresh stations would be a good idea e.g. Mexican, Indian, Italian etc. on different days which could cater for non veg/veg and vegan – this could be easily done. We experienced some issues and raised these, some were resolved and others not. Management was not really seen around or approaching guests. The guests seemed to be significantly over 50 and British. Overall it was a really nice modern hotel and one of the better ones located at the lower end of the island (south – where the sandy beaches tend to be too). The location is great and close to the beach and supermarket with great views. Staff were all friendly too. Some trees do block some of the views for sea view rooms, but not really an issue. We visited during the off-peak, so not sure how it would cope in the busy season. You can hire a car and see the local towns, Melissani Lake and Drogarati Caves (about 20 euro entrance fee total for both) which is more cost effective than a tour. But you have to be comfortable driving with winding and hilly roads. The island is very calm and relaxed and not too much to see/do, it is more about relaxing and enjoying the lovely scenery and views available. You can take a long walk from the hotel to Argostoli (the shopping square, the port and see the loggerhead turtles) and carry on towards the waterwheel, lighthouse and the coastal walk (sensible shoes recommended, it is a small orange clay path just past the Galaxy hotel on the right-hand side on the way back to the hotel, but can be easy to miss). You could also visit other islands; the Queen Bee boat from Agostoli was recommended from other guests (we didn’t get a chance).

We went for 2 weeks mid to end of September and had a great time at this hotel. The room was lovely and modern, the staff were great and very helpful, the food was good (we were half board) and plentiful. The view from the dining room out across the sea was magical. This hotel is very spread out with undulating walkways and steps so if you have limited mobility or can't walk far then i would seriously recommend you consider elsewhere. There is a nice sized pool with very comfortable beds and we didn't have any issues finding space. The hotel provides yellow towels for the pool and the beach which is a nice touch. There is a small private beach down a slope below the pool with around 30 beds which are free, but space is tight and i woud recommend beach shoes or something as its quite stony and slippery in places. We alternated between the different beaches and the pool, the public beach next to the hotel is very nice, clear water, sandy and has a kiosk selling snacks, drinks and ice creams. A fixed umbrella & 2 sunbeds were 10euro per day. The next beach along which we didn't get to charge 25euro per day for the same thing!!. Lassi is very nearby but the hotel is on a narrow double S bend so walking along the road can be dangerous especially as there are coaches and heavy lorries using this road. The hotel suggest walking through their grounds to the next door beach and then up the slope onto the main road which is a little safer. Unfortunately we had a room at the front of the hotel which was right above the hotel entrance and facing the main road (25m away) which could get noisy with traffic from early in the morning. As this was the last room available when we booked there was no other room option but it didn't spoil our holiday. Highly recommend this hotel for a superior experience and if you are considering it, then just book it!, you won't be dissapointed.

Had a wonderful 7 night stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole holiday. The location was fantastic with beautiful views, really pleased we chose a Seaview room. The food was outstanding, lots of variation, and always something tasty at the chef's area. It was a short walk to Lassi to some lovely shops and restaurants. We also rented a car for two days from Lemon cars a local company with fantastic service. Beautiful island with lovely people, hopefully we'll be lucky enough to return and will definitely stay here again. Thank you.
