We always have our Sunday lunch here when we are not working. The food is ALWAYS EXCELLENT! And the staff both friendly and very professional. If we could, we would eat here every week! So if you’re thinking of having Sunday lunch here, do it! You won’t be disappointed!!!

I hate being negative but this is not a great place to stay. The whole place needs refurbishing. It feels and looks like a back street, run down Hotel. Dirty old carpets in the rooms, fixtures and fittings tatty and broken, light bulbs blown. Such a shame as this place has the potential to be what it appears to be on its web site. (which is quite misleading). It need a massive cash injection/refirb to get this Hotel back on track. Sorry to say this but I would not stay again.

Recently had a family Sunday meal. As usual we received faultless service & superb food in this lovely old venue. Our two granddaughters were born with coeliac - which can be an issue but when asked about their options we were informed that everything could be reproduced gluten free because all customers should be able to enjoy the same food choices as everyone else - for one of them the thought of crispy battered fried fish won over the roast! The adults all had a starter & we were asked if we would like the children’s meals to be served at the same time - this thoughtfulness made the whole meal run smoothly & gave the children more time to eat & enjoy their food. Thank you The White Hart - we will be back again when you are up & running after the unfortunate kitchen fire. Luckily no one was injured.

Stayed for a Saturday night - hotel, dinner and breakfast. The food was excellent and the dining area very good. Staff also very helpful and friendly. 5* so far Room was fine. Clean and functional but quite noisy. You could hear every foot step on the stairs and doors opening/closing. But overall a very enjoyable stay - and recommended

We stayed at the White Hart for a 70th birthday party and all had a brilliant stay. Rooms we’re really clean and nicely presented with everything we needed. We had breakfast and dinner and all the food was delicious, especially the crime brûlée, and staff were all super helpful and delivered a great service.
