Coria is somewhat out of the way, being 1.5 hrs from Salamanca, off the main highway and almost on the Portugese border. The old town is pleasant to walk round before dinner, with a museum made out of an old prison to visit. This hotel, being lovingly restored, next to the city's cathedral, is well worth the detour (and given... More

Stayed in this hotel in November 2012. Being next to the cathedral (the striking clock is switched off at niight), it should be easy to find. We had difficulty. Had to park outside the old city and walk but staff were very helpful and provided a map to show how we could drive to it. The hotel is in the... More

We stayed during the running of the bull in June. Staff were friendly, the food was good (including breakfast) and the rooms were clean with airconditioning. Being an old convent, the windows in our room were too high to look out of but that added some character. Little English is spoken in this town, but there were efforts made by... More

“All the rooms seem to be to a high standard, but some are much larger than others. The cathedral bells are switched off at night, so being at the front is no problem.”
