This B&B is located in a lovely "timewarp" peaceful village and the excellent village pub/restaurant is just a short pleasant stroll away. The house is set well back from the road down it's own private drive (very dark at night, take a pocket torch) which opens into a large ample parking area. The owners are very welcoming and professional, they've...

The location of this B&B was perfectly located on a river so be sure to take a river walk. Our hostess made a dinner reservation at the local pub restaurant for us, and the food was delicious. We could easily walk around this quaint village on our way to dinner. Be sure to tour the village by foot as there...

Four of us stayed here to attend a wedding. Everything was just perfect. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the setting unbelievably peaceful and Caroline & Richard are the hosts you always hope you'll get at a B&B. Caroline is also a caterer (she catered the wedding we attended!) so the breakfasts are top-notch. Eggs poached to perfection, local bacon...

Lovely breakfast from the hosts who were very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stop for...

Lovely place, beautiful surroundings, perfect! Greeted by the proprietor on arrival, shown around. All our requirements were catered for. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was comfortable and clean, plenty of tea and coffee in the room and the tin of biscuits was a lovely and welcome touch. We hope Richard and Caroline enjoyed their stay 'Up North'!

I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Richard and Caroline are really nice, friendly people and also very flexible. Especially when it came to breakfast time and vacating my room. I also liked the idea of tea and coffee facilities available, as well as the tin of digestive biscuits, which was a very nice touch. If I am ever...

We arrived to a lovely welcome from Caroline and an immaculately clean room with plenty of supplies (including chocolates) Locally there is an amazing pub with excellent service and food. Our breakfast was huge and freshly cooked with a large variety, fruit, cereal, yogurt etc. Thoroughly recommend.

Great communication, great welcome, great information, cosy room and great breakfast. We also enjoyed the large garden with view on the river. All was adapted to the kids: beds, breakfast and most of all friendlyness. Really recommended!
