Before we'd switched the engine off our host was waiting in the car park to welcome us and show as to our comfortable well equipped room. We were asked to choose from an excellent breakfast selection the night before, I prefer choosing in the morning but understand this is how a smaller establishment has to manage their catering. Come the... More

We booked this B&B as a stopover and were warmly welcomed by Chris on arrival in the car park. He helped with the luggage and showed us to our room and although we were offered a cup of tea we declined as it was early evening and wanted to get a bite to eat. Chris was able to recommend a... More

This was the best B&B we have been to - when we arrived we were given a pot of tea and a warm mince pie in the conservatory. Our twin bedroom was spacious, clean comfortable beds and the bathroom contained everything you could wish for in the way of toiletries. Breakfast was superb - we didn't need to eat again... More

Cheriton House is a great B & B in the lovely village of Houghton, the owners are very friendly and we were offered tea or coffee in the garden upon our arrival with homemade cake, which was lovely. We stayed here 5th - 7th July, the location is perfect, excellent walking country or exploring the small beautiful villages. The guest house is first class, good nights sleep, excellent hosts and the kind of service you expect in a hotel.
