I was staying with Cheryll at the Globe and Chequers as I was on business in the area. I opted for her farm as opposed to the Marriott in Huntingdon and I am very grateful that I did. The accommodations are ample, comfortable, clean, and above all very quiet. The farm is charming and serene. Cheryll cooks the best Full English Breakfast in the Midlands and it's complimentary with your accommodation. Awake in the morning to the songs of sparrows and swallows in the hedge. Love up on her two sweet dogs or gift an apple to her horse, Jack. The small village has endless fields rolling out around it and a charming church plot with plenty of history. Stroll or bike to The George for a pint or take the bus to Cambridge for the day; you're near everything and nothing at all at the same time... Perfection.…
We booked in here for three nights and found this B&B to be perfect, very comfortable room in a quiet rural setting, Cheryl who is the proprietor could not have been more helpful recommending the excellent local pub The George for dinner etc. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, I would highly recommend this B&B.
At the last minute I was told to make a business trip to the UK. It appeared all the hotels in the area were booked, and the Ye Olde Globe ad Chequers came to my rescue. It was like luxury to have a nice quiet place to sleep at the end of a stressful day, and the bed was SOO comfortable, The shower was always hot, and the breakfast was always perfect. I plan to stay there on vacation too.
This is a charming rural B&B with an attentive and friendly host. The location is very quiet which coupled with a comfortable bed made for a good nights rest. The breakfast was superb and plentiful. A lovely base for exploring the surrounding area.
Accommodation is in a seperate converted building, offering well equipped comfortable rooms. Breakfast is in the main house, provided by a welcoming host. It sits in a very quite and small village with very good resturants nearby. We used the nearby pub/resturant The George, Spaldwick which is very nice (see sperate review). We'd certainly be happy to return to this lovely B & B.
