Just returned from our 2nd stay at Stonelands the first time was 18 years ago and enjoyed the stay just as much as the first. We stayed in the Honeypot which for 2 people is perfect and had the perfect weather for walking the many wonderful walks this area has to offer. The swimming pool was very warm and due to the Covid rules you had to pre book your session the day before and meant you had the pool to yourself. Our apartment was very clean and fully functional for cooking which we did on 2 nights and ate out at the Queens Arms the other 2 nights which is only a 15 minute walk down the road. We would really recommend Stonelands as a wonderful place to really relax and enjoy the wonderful countryside that it is situated in and offers plenty of outdoor seating for anyone who just wants to chill out and enjoy the ambiance of Stonelands.

Just returned from another fantastic trip to Yorkshire and Stonelands Farmyard Cottages. This was our 7th year staying at Stonelands and we can't fault it. The accommodation is clean and well equipped with crockery, glassware etc, not just the minimum but spares in case you forget to turn the dishwasher on 😅. The cottages are well presented with lots of nice little touches such as the beautiful cushions and throws in the bedrooms and tea, coffee and biscuits on the side.

It may be off the beaten track a bit but that just adds to the calm and tranquility the area has. The sheep make a lovely addition to the vista while having breakfast.

Swimming pool is a great addition with children of all ages, including nearly 19 year olds and blokes who never grow up. Looking forward to seeing the refurbished pool next year. 😀

Great location and ideal for visiting places and walks. The nearby pub is a nice walk through the fields and a quicker one back via the lane.

Mark and Ruth are excellent hosts who will make sure your stay is perfect.

Stonelands is a little gem and we can't wait until we go again.

Another superb holiday, thank you. 😊

We originally booked three cottages for a family get together in May 2020, but because of Covid, we couldn't go.
Ruth was very helpful and we transferred our bokling to May 2021.
We have just returned home, and wanted to say how wondeful a time we had, despite the fairly intresting weather we had.
The setting of the cottages is wonderful with stunning views and countryside.
The cottages are very well equipped and have comfortable seating, beds and bathrooms.
The heated indoor swimming pool is an added bonus, especially if the weather is not good.
We had a food delivery from a supermarket when we arrived, but be aware that you can't just pop to the shops. The nearest pup is 15 mins walk away, and they do delicious food to eat indoors or out. You can also get food to takeaway.
Lots of Sheep and lambs are in the fields surrounding Stonelands, and the children were kept amused by their antics.
There is a small playground as well.
All in all a very enjoyable stay

We have just returned from a 4 night break at Tansey Close, one of Stonelands Farmyard Cottages. From my initial enquiry right through to check out, everything was perfect.
Firstly, the locations of these cottages is just perfect. Every window provided a beautiful view and being a big sheep lover, I absolutely loved waking up and seeing the sheep outside the bedroom window.
Ruth has done a fantastic job of ensuring everything is Covid-19 secure and we felt completely comfortable and safe throughout our stay. The cottage with its two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms was much bigger than we expected and beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. We particularly loved the many windows, which made everywhere light and bright. The village of Litton is very picturesque and the peace and total relaxation was much needed and very welcome. We had our evening meal one night at the Queens Arms; sadly, it was not a great experience, the food was fine, but the pub was not Covid-19 safe, with a table of 7 eating next to us. I did point out the rule of 6 and was told "well, they haven't left the village, so its fine"!!! We travelled into Kilnsey, which is only about 6 miles away and had a fabulous meal and welcome at the Tennant Arms - highly recommend.
We had one rainy day, but given the time of year we were very lucky to have bright, sunny days the rest of the time. We loved the area, the surrounding, the people and would definitely visit again and most certainly would want to stay at Stonelands again. One thing we did, which we would recommend, maybe on a rainy day or if visitors have children and that was to do pottery painting at the Coffee and Clay cafe in Skipton, we loved it. We have never visited Yorkshire before, but hope to again soon and we would love to stay in Tansey Close, or one of the other equally gorgeous cottages. Thank you so very much and all the very best to you and your business, its amazing 😊

Just returned from a weeks stay in Roselber, my family all thought the cottage was the best we had ever stayed in, lovely furnishings, everything was super clean and more importantly everything worked. We loved our 4 poster bed and the luxury of having an ensuite bathroom. The surrounding area is blissful with plenty of walks on your doorstep, we were all enchanted watching the barn owls every evening from our window. The pool was also a big hit, which we went in nearly every day. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our holiday which considering we have two teenagers is no mean feat.
Just one thing to note, is that if you are relying on a supermarket delivery for food and supplies, which we were, then take some emergency food just in case. We had booked a Tesco's delivery which didn't turn up at all due to the van breaking down, so we had no food for the first evening until the next morning when we had to do an early morning dash to Skipton which is 15 miles away. It was not a trip I would want to do in the dark on unfamiliar roads which can be single track on sections and after a 5 hour journey we couldn't face it until the next day. Although if this does happen the local pub is only a 10 minute walk away and they do a takeaway service, which we found out about the next day!!!!
Apart from the Tesco problem, this holiday was as close to perfect as we could get. Many thanks Stonelands for giving us some great memories.

Thank you so much for your thorough and detailed review, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We are so sorry to hear about your food shopping delivery problems - in the future if that should ever happen again please don't hesitate to call us on the reception phone or send us an email as we would have gladly recommended the takeaway service at our local pub, The Queens Arms or we would have been happy to bob to a local shop for you to pick up some groceries. Thank you so much for taking the time to post a lovely review and we hope to see you again soon. Warmest wishes from Mark & Ruth.

Our family had a get together here for Mum and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary. My brothers family was in Tansy Close, we were in Sandhams. This is a stunning location right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, AKA 'Postman Pat Land'. The cottages are really well equipped, a home from home and the pool was a massive bonus. There is a lovely outdoor seating area, BBQ and football pitch too! Malham Cove and Kilnsey Trout and farm park are nearby and there are some lovely pubs to eat in nearby. Ruth our host could not be more accommodating, highly recommended.

We have spent a total of 11 weeks at Guildersbank between house moves and have enjoyed every minute. Stonelands Cottages are in idyllic surroundings - so quiet peaceful. The cottage was lovely with everything you need - home from home. There are fantastic walks from the door across open fields to the river. A dogs paradise! The swimming pool and sauna on site made us feel we had escaped to somewhere very special. Our stay at Guildersbank will always be very special to us. Thank you Mark and Ruth for everything you did for us - you are amazing hosts. We will definitely return to this magical place. Helen, Bob and Heidi the Cockapoo XXX

Really comfortable well appointed rooms.
Fantastic heated swimming pool
Great outside space, seating, BBQ, football pitch
Great location for walks in Littondale from the cottages, particularly down the river to Arncliffe & The Falcon Pub.
Great pub up the road. The Queen's Arms in Litton.
Good location for Wharfedale & Malham.
We took bikes, which helped cut down the driving on the narrow lanes.
Remember to bring everything you will need as the nearest shops are 7 miles away.

We had a wonderful week’s stay in Elbeck Cottage. Everything was fab and the owners Mark and Ruth couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. We particularly liked the pool and had a lovely early morning swim every day. The location is pretty remote but that’s a good thing because a) it’s incredibly peaceful and b) the scenery was spectacular. We explored a lot of the nearby little towns and Dales and were blown away by the unspoilt beauty of the area.
Facilities in the cottage itself were very good and the bed was very comfortable too.
All in all we would thoroughly recommend staying here!

We booked at very short notice after cancelling a break in York (as we wanted to keep safe). It was ideal, being in the middle of nowhere and we felt very safe on and off site! The accommodation was warm, comfortable.modern and very clean. The swimming pool was an added luxury. You have to drive to get to most places but it's not that far. There are some lovely walks and pubs around. In a nutshell - a very relaxing and much needed break with well organised owners.

Our self catering cottages do have wifi although it is currently not always very reliable - sorry. We will shortly be adding some new boosters to improve this. We should have a date for this work within the next week. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require an update. Thank you.

Hello. The nearest shops to us are at either Kettlewell (which has a village store and is 7 miles away) and Grassington (which has a Spar, butcher and baker and is 9 miles away.) Both villages also have cafes and pubs. If you require a supermarket then you need to travel to either Settle or Skipton which are approx 25-30 mins from us. Hope that helps.
