We booked this B&B as a last minute break and we weren't disappointed. Mark & Kay were perfect hosts who welcomed us into their beautiful home. Lovely en suite room overlooking the beautiful garden. Amazing breakfast with home made bread. Perfect location. Will definitely return when next in the area
We recently stayed here and had a wonderful stay. We were visiting Skipton to see the castle and The Bailey is just up the road, ideal. Our room was tastefully decorated with a beautiful bathroom, nice views over the garden and beyond. Mark the owner made us really welcome and cooked us a tasty breakfast. Believe the reviews here and elsewhere this B&B is top notch. Thank you Mark.
I can’t recommend this place more, the hosts Mark and Kay were so welcoming, it felt like you were staying in their home but at the same time felt like a 5 star hotel. I love the little touches like robes and real milk in little bottles in the mini fridge and the little jar of biscuits which we ate whilst watching Netflix :D The garden is stunning and the location is perfect for walking into the centre and enjoying the pubs and restaurants along the canal. We will definitely be returning asap!
Honestly couldn't have asked for more. This little beautiful stay away from home is absolutely lovely. The place is immaculate, the owners the most welcoming warm people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Full of information. The room was absolutely beautiful. The grounds stunning. And the location excellent. We loved it so much we are going to rebook for our anniversary in September. So glad we came and thank you
We adored our short stay in the Shepherd's Hut at the Bailey... it's a lovely space, every detail carefully thought through, and the bed is so cosy we would have brought it home (but our car is very small!). Mark and Kay are great hosts and the breakfast Mark prepares is not to be missed. He's also a super source for local and Dales knowledge. Skipton is perfectly located for everything...we had a day visiting the ruined abbeys, Ripon Cathedral and Newby Hall and gardens (the hall is well worth booking for) and a day walking along the Wharfe and up to Simon's Seat (encountering Mark who was running down!) Then back to the hut and a nice glass of wine in the sun in the beautiful garden. Can't recommend it enough!
