We stayed at The Estate House in April whilst attending a family event nearby. The house itself was quite nice and had a homely feel to it and the owners are very friendly. Sadly the bedrooms we were allocated were in desperate need of redecorating, with peeling woodchip wallpaper and ancient badly stained carpets. Our bathroom was over the other... More

Just spent two days at the estate house whilst visiting family down the road, along with my two children, my mum and my sharpei dog, and cannot rate this place highly enough!!! I researched trip advisor prior to booking, and I am so glad I chose this place over any other! Robyn, Zoe & Dudley are absolutely lovely and could... More

My husband and I and our two gsd's have just returned from the Estate house today, and we will definitely go back and would recommend it to everybody! It must be the most dog friendly B and B we have ever come across. Zoe and Rob are so friendly and as for Dudley, well I just wanted to kidnap him! The rooms... More

My girlfriend and I wanted to have a short break where we could bring our dog for the first time. We took some time to select a B+B. The Estate House looked friendly and clean from their website so decided to book there. We arrived on Friday evening around 7:30 to be welcomed in and helped with luggage by Robin.... More

A cosy, friendly, welcoming B&B. we felt at home straight away - as did our dog! Dog treats in the room and homemade biscuits for us were a lovely touch. We asked about the local area and rob printed off a good few walks for us to do and also told us of some dog friendly pubs. Zoe was like... More

We stayed at the Estate House during all the snow of easter 2013. So welcoming. It was our first holiday taking our dog with us. Everything was great. We had to borrow the owners dogs coat for our dog as she was shivering so much when we went out. A lovely cooked breakfast every morning which set us up for... More

I highly recommend this B&B, especially if you have dogs. The owners are extremely welcoming and can't help you enough, the rooms are modern and very clean (far smarter than any other 'dog friendly' places I've stayed in), the breakfast was great (you could pretty much have whatever you wanted) and they've got a secure walled garden you can let... Good b&b establishments that positively welcome (rather than tolerate) dogs aren't easy to find. The Estate House ticks a lot of boxes whether you've four legs or two: it's well located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park yet convenient for the M6; it's run by a friendly, caring local couple who try hard to please; accommodation is... After a gruelling trip taking 3 times as long as it should have, we were greeted warmly and helped with our luggage. The home made ginger cookies helped to restore my karma. The rooms we had booked were comfortable, clean and homely. We had a "welcome" pack for our dog as well! Breakfast is wonderful and freshly cooked for us... More
