Called here on Sunday just off spek. Sunday roast for £10.95. Consisted of tough beef, hard potatoes, soggy yorkshire puds and a distinct lack of vegetables. It wasn't very warm either. It does not take much to make a sunday roast, get your act together. No one will ever go back for a repeat experience.

From the moment we contacted the Hotel to enquire about holding our wedding, meeting Chris and his staff to discuss our requirements, nothing was too much trouble. We cannot speak highly enough of the quality of our experience covering food, wine, service, hotel layout and décor. All of our guests were also equally impressed and complimentary. Great for functions as...

Very pleased I found this hotel. Great location immediately opposite Skipton train station! Very attractive entrance way, highly accommodating and helpful staff and excellent food. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble and everything was meticulously thought through from the welcome e-mail through to the close off mail. Being hyper pedantic (sorry) no sweeteners at breakfast meant no tea--not because...

I had a 'classic plus' room for two nights. Herriots is well placed for the town centre - Skipton is really great and worth a visit. I would agree with a couple of other reviewers who said that; ' it's a pub with rooms' and 'the rooms smell like a pub.' Negatives; wi-fi doesn't work, television didn't work,in my room...

I stayed here with a friend in room 19 for 2 nights to see the Skipton Christmas market on the Sunday. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was also in a quiet location on the first floor at the end of a long corridor. There was a Christmas party going on below us in the function suite. It ended...

We stayed 2 nights. Our room was large with a spacious bathroom. The room had retained traditional features but with contemporary decoration. The room faced the back and was very quiet and dark. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good. We had dinner one evening for a group of 8 which everyone enjoyed. The hotel is very convenient for the town...
