An excellent and reasonably priced guest house within easy walking distance of the centre of Skipton. The room was comfy and the breakfast was superb. The price for bed and breakfast was slightly less than you would pay for bed without breakfast in a premier national chain. What's not to like.

We spent two nights here last month, using the location as a base to tour the area. Our room was upstairs overlooking Keighley Road. Having the breakfast room downstairs in the basement, reminded me of a hotel I use back home when I'm in Quebec City. The room was clean and comfortable and we loved overlooking the busy street. There... More

We spontaneously decided to go to Skipton for a Saturday day/night out. We looked at places to stay and came across Highfield Guest House. Reasonably priced and it looked clean + there was parking which was a help so we booked it. We wasn't let down. The guest house was lovely, clean and everyone was welcoming. Breakfast was in with... Stayed here for 2 nights whilst in town for a wedding. Debbie gave us a warm and friendly welcome, and offered us a room on the 1st floor as requested (due to my pregnant wife). Room was very clean, with a comfy bed and plenty of refreshments. Breakfast was really good, and there was plenty of fresh coffee on offer.... More

The guesthouse was a short walking distance from town. Good sized bedroom with a comfortable bed and complimentary tray, generously packed with tea/coffee, biscuits and sweets. Landlady was very warm and friendly and had an amazing dog, Archie. There is limited parking on the property's drive and free parking on the road, though it can get busy just like many... More

We stayed overnight on what was one of the hottest days of the year. The windows were all closed when we reached our room and it was incredibly hot. Due to the traffic noise, it wasn't a solution to open the windows during the night so sleep was hard to come by. The guest house could do with some TLC.... More

This is a very nice guest house in Skipton. Friendly hosts. nice rooms with comfortable beds and a superior breakfast with local produce cooked to perfection. we were a party of four and were all very pleased with our stay. We would all happily return to Highfield in the future. Forgot to mention free wifi with strong signal
