Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for a couple of nights, Great location to explore the dales and lots of walks near by. We booked into the pool for after a days hiking, the kids were excited about it all day. However when we arrived back and were ready for our swim the staff had cancelled our booking without any notice and sent the life guard home. As such we couldn’t swim, extremely disappointing as the pool was the main reason for picking this site above others. Staff were not sympathetic or helpful in resolving and blamed us. I would recommend the dales for a visit even in winter but avoid this accomodation.

We have just had a 3 night stay in a platinum lodge and everything was perfect, huge lodge and well worth paying slightly more, pet friendly as well. We had a meal and a drink in the pub when we settled in on the Friday , staff very friendly. food was very nice and hot!...just bear in mind the bar area is cashless. overall a very pleasant weekend and well recommended

The park is nice, however, to get stung by a charge for damage after the holiday, rather put a big dampener on the site. They claimed I had stolen an oven tray and there is a wet patch on the rug. £100 for this. Myself & friend stayed with our 2 dogs, paying an extra £50 for cleaning on top of the holiday cost. They have a free hand to charge you for anything, so avoid Park Holidays!

Lovely stay aside from a couple of things, the first being the main and the worst one. Upon entering our caravan with our three month old we noticed the stench of Cannabis, seeing as this was at about 5pm at night and we'd just traveled 7 hours in the car from London we thought we'd sort it out in the morning and thought maybe the smell would go by the morning, or maybe even it was some sort of cleaning product. We woke up in the morning and it was just as bad, to then find a discarded joint butt in the sink that was the offending item. I've no idea how a cleaning crew missed this as the smell was just so obvious, and they obviously had not cleaned the sink as they would have seen it. Which was surprising as the caravan was immaculately clean. This wasn't great with our 3 month old being around, imagine if he'd have some how gotten a hold of the butt and ingested it, i dread to think. We got a £20 voucher for the pub to spend which we thought great, trotted over there for dinner on Wednesday to find the pub inexplicably shut. Apparently its shut for some unknown reason on a Wednesday. We also found a laptop and charger in the bedroom, which was also odd. So again leave me to wonder how much cleaning actually goes on, which again i cant understand as the caravan was spotless. Our car got stuck in the mud out by the entrance and two of the chaps who work on site, Mark and Lewis, towed us out which we can't thank them enough for. The onsite swimming pool is nice, quite small and intimate but very nice. The pub is also amazing, what a building, shame its not always open!

Just had another lovely stay here. We don't live too far away so like to go quite often for a weekend. It's a nice break me, husband and our dog. And it's very good value for money. The staff are lovely and professional. Just wish they had a few more pet friendly accommodation, especially lodges, as they sell out very quickly. We will be back next year for a few chilled out weekends away.

The reviews on park holidays site are misleading, I left a 5 Star review for the ease of booking but a 2 star review for the accommodation SW05! Pet friendly apparently Gold plus! Strangely only the 5 star review is visible on the site.

8/10 this is an ideal site to stay at if you are planning a walk on the Three Peaks. ( 30 minute drive.) This is the second time this year we have stayed at this park and we booked two 8 birth static caravans. The caravan gets 9/10 cleanliness but would have been a 10, but on opening the cutlery draw it had dirty grease on the inside of the draw base and on on the cutlery. we had one double room, two rooms with two single beds in each and a small fold out double in the lounge (no bedding) The single beds are very floppy/springy, like a poor water bed and ideally suit kids only. All mattresses have a plastic cover sewn on top which could cause a sweaty nights sleep. The caravans are fairly new and ours had a porch/decking with outdoor table and chairs, very nice in the warm weather to just relax or eat outside. The caravans we hired had two large car parking spaces at the side. Over all the site is spotless with friendly staff, sadly the pool was out of order on this stay, but the site stated they would pay for anyone to swim at a local pool (to far away). Over all this is a perfect site to stay at if you like hiking in the Yorshire Dales.

From booking to sadly leaving we had the best time. Want to take extra time to thank the staff on the reception for all of their help. Especially Skye, hope I spelled that right. Absolute professionalism and could do enough to help us throughout our stay. Nothing was to much trouble. Our holiday was made so much better because of the service got. The site itself, stunning, peaceful, kept to the highest standard and the fact its pet friendly is amazing. My dog loved her walks. The check in and out was easy simple and efficient. All questions answered with ease and we were then left to get settled. Cannot wait to go back. My only 1 issue while we were there was the gent in the bar was quite rude when we ate there, unhelpful and quite dismissive. The other bar staff were great though x Food not worth the money though..sorry
