Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would highly recommend a stay at this site. Very friendly and helpful owners with absolutely spotless showers, toilets and washing facility area, a real credit to them and I would say that these are the standards that other sites should try to achieve.I enjoyed a couple of days camping here with my brother recently and will definitely be returning, many thanks to the owners for such a welcoming stay.

My husband and I have recently spent a night in the shepherds hut. The views from the hut are incredible, waking up to watch the sunrise from bed was very special. The bed itself is so comfy and was long enough for my tall husband (a problem at other huts we’ve stayed in), the log burner was perfect to take the chill off in the evening and morning. The hut is very well equipped with the toilet and shower contained within the hut. We’ll most definitely be back for another visit.

A nice small (8 pitches), adults only, campsite. Lovely location with a 1/2 mile walk to the nearest pub, the facilities, though not big, are adequate and modern, and kept spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful hosts, we will definitely return again next year.

Lovely small, friendly, peaceful site. Perfect for walks and pubs within easy walking distance. Excellent proper toilet and shower block. We were in a small campervan, lots of space, a couple of tents also on the small site as well as a caravan near the owners house. Everything we needed.

This was our first visit to this campsite and we will definitely return. The site is small which meant it was lovely and quiet and with some great views. The Bull pubs at Little Hucklow and Foolow were both lovely and dog friendly. The Queen Ann pub is not dog friendly which is probably why it was empty on a Saturday afternoon. in July ! There are some lovely walks which you can do from the campsite. The facilities were spotless, the only thing we would have liked was a fridge freezer as it was very warm and we struggled to keep our milk and food cold after the first day.

Beautiful location, reasonably flat pitches, excellent showers and loos. Really nice low key site for a few vans and tents. We walked to the Blind Bull pub in Little Hucklow - a lovely walk. BTW the Queen Anne pub in Great Hucklow which is the nearest is unfriendly (to dogs). And they wonder why country pubs are struggling to survive.

We enjoyed 4 nights in this quiet campsite with our dog in a beautiful part of Derbyshire. The site is well run and the facilities are well kept, the toilet and shower block being very clean. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Our daughter and son in law joined us for 2 nights bringing their 2 dogs. There is a dog walk very close to the site and further walks in the nearby woods, our OS map came in useful for this. We walked to The Bull Inn in Foolow which is very dog friendly and provides good food. The shop in Eyam, a nearby village was quite well stocked but we did our main shop in Bakewell.

We both loved this campsite. It's hidden in the Derbyshire countryside with all the amenities available, such as toilet disposal point, water, washing up, recycling and rubbish bins. Powerful brand new hot showers included too. Friendly owners. Would definitely recommend.

We will be back great site, good facilities. Lots of pubs nearby, especially if you have a bike. Nearest one the Queen Anne is about a mile away. Great location in the bottom of a valley. Really enjoyed it.
