Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went again in June 2018, the same lovely well furnished, well equipped cosy cottage and the same warm welcome from Sharon, Jim, Jet and Freddie. A home from home now. It’s lovely arriving at the end of the long track to the peace of the area, the views of the tidal river Towy and the trains in the distance, just sight, no noise. We expect to go again.

If you want peace, tranquility and views this is the place to come. The cottages have everything you need and more. Your hosts Sharon and Jim - what can we say.Two of the most friendly and welcoming people who go out of their way to make sure you have a nice holiday. A pleasure to know them. Can't wait to come back next year. (A ready booked)

Tan Y Lan Fach is a beautiful cottage, minutes drive from Llansteffan, and Camarthen, yet away from it all, with a view of the river Towy through to the estuary and Llansteffan Castle in the distance. There's also the shelter of a warm cosy conservatory to take it all in. The cottage has all we needed, hot water all day for showers if you hiking the trails nearby. The hosts are really friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable [ask about the local ales ;) ] . We had a wonderful time here for one week, would visit again.

Every time I am visiting family I stay at the cottages. I have stayed in both, and both are faultless. Sharon is a fantastic host, and just waking up in the morning with the sun at the front area, its idyllic. The goats, and the pets have got to know me too, but this area is stunning, and im away back again in May 2018. Great for couples and a great place to switch off from other issues. LOVE IT.....

Back in May 2017 we visited here for the 1st time, and we are back here again in Oct 2017. Like our last visit here it was amazing. The views are stunning, the cottages are like home from home, and ideal for 2 people, couples etc. Sharon & Jim are great hosts. The cottages are spotless, and anything you need is there in the kitchen. The location is ideal. Already booked again for November 2017. 10/10 in all areas.

After you leave the main road at Llangain, and venture a mile or more down the country road, you come to what will be your home for the next week or so, and that's where your adventure begins. The area along the coast from Carmarthen, all the way down to Tenby has stunning views, the towns on route are well worth stopping at. The cottages are great with the sunrooms being a place you will always wish to sit in if your not exploring that is. The views from the gardens, and even when you walk to the top of the road the views are stunning, and if your lucky to catch the stars/moon photos you would not be disappointed. The bedroom ,kitchen, areas have everything you will need for a fantastic stay, and the shower, sure wakes you up. Jim/Sharon are great hosts, and I can wait to return home, because that's how it felt. video of property was great, and say hi to idris the dragon

A lovely comfortable warm cozy well equipped cottage hidden away down a country lane that could go no further. Lovely bed for a great nights sleep and so much peace and quiet and dark in which to really see the stars. Jim and Sharon are welcoming hosts. Jim is a mine of information about the area and Carmarthenshire in general backed by books to look at for more detail. We will be back I'm sure.

Arrived on Friday night and were met by our hosts, Sharon and Jim. The cottage was lovely and clean, well kept and welcoming. We woke the next morning refreshed from our comfortable bed to an amazing view over the estuary. The sun was shining and we went walking at Llansteffan (about 10 minutes drive) and enjoyed our day with a walk on the beach and up to the castle. Our evening was spent drinking hot chocolate and looking at the stars! Perfect relaxation! During our stay Sharon and Jim were excellent hosts and on hand with advice on good restaurants and places to visit. A fabulous relaxing weekend, we'll be back!!!!
