As a paranormal research it was great to have the whole hotel to ourselves. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spotless as was the whole hotel. My only fault is the small breakfast Ulster fry ( 1/4 soda and 1/4 potato bread, 1 sausage, 1 slice of bacon normal egg and tomatoes and mushrooms and beans....

Stopped here for a few drinks on a Saturday afternoon. The bar area was very quaint with what must be the original layout of the building. They had a nice warm first going and the drinks were ok. We saw some of the food being served, and I must admit we might well be back for some food next time.

We stayed here in December because we where getting married in Carrickfergus Castle on the 10th. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The staff are very friendly, the food was amazing and the breakfast is to die for. It is right in the heart of the town and would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the local...

We have been here to eat quite a few times and find the staff very friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent - good portions and well presented. There is quite an extensive menu. It's a very old building - 11th century, I think - and this is reflected in the decor. It is a pleasant place to eat but...

A great little place in Carrickfergus. The rooms are cozy, the prices are reasonable, and the people are incredibly friendly. The shower took a little bit to figure out, and the WiFi signal drops quickly the farther you get from the bar, but those are mere quibbles. Overall, a great place to stay is this historical location. They make you...

The Dobbins is certainly my hotel of choice when I travel to Northern Ireland. The place is so welcoming and staff can not do enough for you. Excellent food, make sure your hungry because your plate will be piled high! Clean and comfortable rooms and...watch out for the ghost! Check out YouTube for the documentary. I thoroughly recommend the Robbins.

We’ve stayed in Dobbins before and it really is a quirky little place. There is overnight parking literally yards from the hotel and it cost us £3. Check in was prompt and we got a room towards the back of the hotel. The room was basic but clean, and there were toiletries, tea/coffee facilities and an iron with ironing board....

WE haven't been here for several years, but their new look is very good. The food is excellent and the service is very good. Steaks and chicken dishes are our favourite but all the dishes are excellent. I I had one complaint or issue is the the seats in the restaurant are not comfortable and we would have stayed longer...
