The Carrick was a lovely place to stay while visiting Giant’s Causeway area. Scott is just an amazingly gracious host, full of helpful information, kind and genuine. The location is perfect to stay a little bit away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to restaurants if you want to walk into town. The room was cozy and quiet. A really nice experience.

Unquestionably one of the best places I have ever stayed. The room (the Dunluce) was large and bright with a very comfortable bed plus a loveseat, armoire and table & chairs. It was also one of the loveliest rooms I have ever occupied. The service was nothing short of remarkable. When I commented to Scott, the host, that being short I could only see my forehead in the bathroom mirror (I was not complaining as this happens all the time), he immediately offered to bring in a full-length mirror. Then while I was out he removed the mirror from the wall (not an easy task, I think), turned it 90 degrees and re-hung it. It was perfect! The breakfast was also delicious. There was absolutely nothing to complain about at the Carrick. I wish my stay had been longer and certainly hope to return one day. I should mention that it is also only a short walk to the bus stop where one can catch a bus to any of the sights along the Antrim coast.

Just returned after 4 days with Scott at his wonderful B&B. From the moment we arrived, when he insisted on carrying our heavy cases upstairs to our room, Scott was a great host, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and friendliness, he made us feel completely at home, like we were his friends. The accommodation is lovely and has all the little extras to qualify as it luxury. As already said, breakfast are lovely, great choices all beautifully prepared and cooked personally by Scott. The area is a beautiful coastline and we visited Dunluce and Kinbane castles, Giants Causeway and the Carrick a Rede rope bridge. But for me the highlight was seeing Ricky Lorimer sing and play in The Harbour Bar, absolutely superb! Thanks again Scott for a wonderful few days.

We stayed for 2 nights in early August. Upon arrival after a long day’s travelling, Scott made us feel completely at home with his homely and very welcoming style. The room we stayed in has a beautiful free standing bath and a bed that was ultra comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for Scott. Breakfast was just amazing. I had the scrambled eggs both days and they were as good as you’d get in a high end hotel in a major city. Just felt at home, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The location is right next to Dhu Warren station on the Coleraine to Portrush branch line. The station is closed for refurbishment currently but Portrush station is around a mile from the The Carrick. If you’re planning to head out to this part of the world, then if you arrive into either of the Belfast airports and you’re not hiring a car then be prepared for a 2hr train journey to travel the 60 miles. This is a beautiful area of natural beauty with plenty of things to do and see. The Carrick is a great place to base yourself, not just because of the location but because the understated yet excellent accommodation will make sure you unwind and a with a breakfast that sets you up for a day of activities. Scott is there when you need him, whether it be a recommendation for places to eat or replenishing the drinks in the honesty bar upon return from a night out. If you’re looking for relaxing, friendly, boutique accommodation, then look no further. Thank you Scott for your fantastic service, wonderful breakfasts and all round hospitality. You helped make Carol’s landmark birthday even more special. John & Carol

Stayed in the lissanour suite for 3 nights, First time Staying somewhere other than a hotel and was a bit apprehensive, but no need as it was absolutely amazing from start to finish.Welcome drinks, the most comfortable bed with excellent quality bedding , the tasteful decor and Space made it such a relaxing few days. Towels and Bathrobes are the most fluffy ones I've ever seen and the lovely toiletries and scents round the room just made it the perfect stay. Breakfast was just superb , I had a different one each morning and each one was as good as the previous one, my six year old wanted French toast with strawberry and Nutella each morning , it wasn't on the menu but Scott the host cooked her one each day, and in her word "the yummiest ever" We had Netflix and YouTube on the TV which was great for nighttime when you have been on the beach all day which is literally a few minute walk from The Carrick. I would highly recommend this place , the hosts have got it down to a T. And we will be back !!!!

Scott is a fantastic host. Comfy bed in the Lissanoure suite. Netflix available. Quiet location, good nights sleep guaranteed. Little finishing touches, water, chocolate, tea & coffee facilities, nice toiletries makes this a luxury B&B. Very tasty breakfasts. No request is considered a burden.

We recently visited Portrush, staying at the Carrick. The room was spotlessly clean, the bathroom recently refurbished with a walk in shower. Scott is a wonderful host, offering advice on places to visit and where to eat. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he always had a smile on his face. Breakfasts were an absolute treat, reflecting the quality of the the produce he uses. We were greeted with a complimentary beer and glass of wine after our drive from Belfast, and an honesty bar was an option if required. There’s plenty of parking, and the walk into Portrush takes around 15 minutes along the sea front. An altogether wonderful stay.

Amazing place to stay. Thoroughly recommend. Scott, the owner, is an incredible host. So welcoming, accommodating, flexible and provides great suggestions for trips, visits and eating out. The room was excellent, with amazing en suite and bedding. Three course breakfasts were cooked to an excellent level, before sharing his wisdom with us on what to do for the day ahead - I never realised just how nice Northern ireland is and how many wonderful features it has. The coasts are amazing. Honestly, the Carrick is incredible and wonderful value for money. Without a doubt, I shall return. Recommend you visiting sometime soon.
