Recently stayed at craigahulliar holiday park to enjoy the diamond package for a week. The holiday park and caravan itself was spotlessly clean and very well kept. Gorgeous welcome basket was waiting for us and so many towels were there for us. Hot tub was just lovely, maintained by staff every day and really made our holiday!
The only down side was the noise of children on the campsite late into the night which did add some stress for us as we have a toddler who was trying to sleep.
However, thoroughly enjoyed our week and had a wonderful staycation, loved the caravan and great location! Great play park

We camped at hilltop caravan park in portrush from Wed 5th Aug-Sun 9th Aug the weather was dry which probably helped our camping experience. The campsite like the name is on the top of a hill but it is close to the town of portrush about 20 min leisurely walk it is well located for sight seeing. The campsite is clean and well kept it caters for mostly caravans and static vans. The toilets and showers were clean but not well located if you are in a tent and need to use the bathroom at 2.30 in the morning! There is no electric facilities for tents but caravans are well catered for, good flat area to camp and reasonably quiet. Would use this site again £5 a night per adult.

Stayed here camping with family the tent was pitched near the toilet facilities which was not too bad, the toilets were clean and had laundry and shower facilities which you can use at £1.00 and a hairdryer at 20p. The pitch was quite water logged so had to find somewhere that wasnt mucky. There was also a few dogs allowed to run around this field where i witnessed them peeing and depositing which resulted in us having to watch where we and the kids walked and played i dont think this is really fair on campers as there is a gate leading from the other site where people come thru maybe they should fence off a part for campers only.

My wife and I booked the diamond package accommodation for a week which includes your own personal hot tub.The accommodation is beautiful with large living room well equipped kitchen king sized bed and ensuite bathroom and shower two more twin bedrooms and a main bathroom and of course outside the hot tub built into the decking and seating area. On arrival we were welcomed into the accommodation with a high quality welcome basket which included a bottle of prosecco luxury chocolates fudge black butter which my wife raved about, you have super fast WiFi and Netflix towels and dressing gowns for hot tub. The site is very peaceful with 24 hour security great place for a relaxing holiday or if you have children there is a well equipped playground would highly recommend

My husband and I booked this site for two nights last weekend. We stayed just one. We had our two children (two and six months) and our dog with us.

The weather was beautiful, but that's where the positives end.

We were charged £64 for two nights and we paid a full child's price for both our six month old and two year old. We questioned the cost for our baby twice, given that she would not be using any facilities.

The busy campsite was covered in rubbish. It backed onto a littered field with an overflowing skip. After a neighbouring camper called reception twice, somebody did appear with a litter picker which helped.

Toilets were relatively clean during the day, but by early evening they were not maintained. Empty hand-soap bottles had been topped up with water (COVID?????). I went to the shower cubicle at 8am but decided the more hygienic option would be to not shower.

The campsite was understandably busy given the weekend that it was. Noise continued into the early hours and included heavy machinery (I did not leave my tent to investigate!) at 1am. Reception staff appeared puzzled when this was mentioned.

This campsite was totally unsuitable for our small children. Upon complaining to staff in reception, we were apologised to and advised that management would contact us. This did not happen.

Booking here was a costly and disappointing mistake.

We stayed in our touring caravan in Blair’s in summer 2020 and really enjoyed our stay. A bit pricey compared to other sites close by but enjoyed it anyway. About 6 weeks ago we booked for this summer (2021) over the July bank holiday week and payment was taken. Received a telephone call from Blair’s today to say that they were cancelling our booking. The reason they gave was that they had booked all of their pitches with touring caravans who wanted to book in for the whole season. Stated that our booking was never confirmed because they did not send us a confirmation email. But they did take our money?? Which to me seems like a confirmation. All they could say was “sorry, we will refund your money” and to look out on their Facebook page to see if any pitches become available closer to the time. Extremely disappointed and angry with Blair’s. They were happy to take my money at the time and now they have the prospect of making more money out of seasonal pitches we are left without a holiday. What a way to run your business!!!

This review is for their new site Castlewood, in Antrim.
They don’t have it set up on trip advisor and their own customers satisfaction survey signposts me to this one.

Issue on arrival, pitches not suitable for porch air awning. They seemed to admin this was an oversight (there are 5 anchors on each yard pitch to support full awnings). Seems they wanted to keep the grass pristine like a golf course (managers own words)

Had to put a tag on our van to ‘prove’ that weren’t meant or be there. Surely you’d know, it’s barrier entry!

Electric tariff too dear. Have to pre pay on cars and refunded what you don’t use. We used £8.50 for 2 nights. RIP off. We used gas for cooking and Truman on for 1 hour.

Rained out (not their fault) but layout of pitch meant awning floor soaked through.

Terrible Wi-Fi even though ‘site manager’ and ‘site designer’ (same person) was lauding how great the facilities are. ‘2 routers for the tourers site. One right beside our pitch’. Get them tested as signal was rubbish.

Received email at 4:30am thanking us for stay and reminding us to be out by 11am (we had another night to stay!

Take torch to bathroom at nigjt, sensor light will go off and leave you in pitch darkness, won’t come on until you leave the cubical (only two male cubical for around 30 pitches, that will be interesting when fully booked)

Toilet role dispenser really stiff, only one sheet at a time expending. That was the one that actually had toilet role in it. Had to highlight that the other cubical was out of toilet roll for 24 hours)

Like a building site at present, lots of heavy machinery around.
When booking had no idea it was this way, appeared fully finished on the website and no advance acknowledgement as courtesy to guests about the unfinished site.

Run with military precision.

Had to provide the names and DOBs for all visitors, including our two children and made to pay a £50 ‘security’ deposit (insult to the caravan community if you ask me!)

The (only) positives

The kids park is excellent

The tree top Adventure was excellent. Had a great hour or more with my daughter. Shout out to RYAN for his amazing customer service and patience and encouraging words for my daughter. He was a gentleman and others at the site (the lady on reception) could learn from him.

This seems harsh feedback for a new site, but arrogance over customer service will always lose. Will never be back, even when it is finished!

We stayed in their Castlewood site for a weekend in late July in our caravan. Pitches are well maintained and plenty of space between each of them. Plenty of room for your awning.
Very easy to connect up the water and electric, you basically check yourself in and all instructions are very clear.
The warden came over to make sure we got set up ok.
The electric worked out at 8.50 for the wknd, and when you add the cost of the pitch and the electric together - its what you would pay on any site with the electric included.

Our kids spent the wknd cycling around and down to the playpark. They also enjoyed the treetop adventure immensely.
Staff are very helpful, toilets immaculate, it felt very safe for the kids and we would definitely stay here again.

Stayed over the bank holiday weekend May 2021 (£35 per night) and arrived to find the static site had not been cleared for our touring caravan. Static caravan steps were in the middle of the sight, plus a pile of rubbish and a garden seat! We were advised this would be cleared immediately but when leaving 4 days later the mess was still there. We also reported a bad smell and asked that they check the gas etc and they advised they did check this. When leaving I reported that the mess had not been cleared and they would need to clear it before another caravan arrived as it was an awful sight. A male staff member then appeared in the front office and advised that someone had called at our site and we told them not to clean up the mess! This was a lie as no staff member ever approached us regarding clearing the rubbish. Disgusted that they felt the site was acceptable and not as much as an apology. I did get a reply to my email complaint advising it was a busy weekend and staff were a bit ‘rusty’. Definitely would not stay here again.

We spent a weekend here in one of the newer caravans. A very quiet and family orientated setting. After barely tolerating other much less clean caravans in Wales and Scotland this was a joy to stay in. Even had a coffee machine and pods. And the beds were very clean and comfortable. Seriously considering buying a plot here. Thank you Blairs from the Cleary family
