A lovely caravan park, with clean toilets and shower facilities. A good play park, football pitch and activities for children. Lovely sea and mountain views , with a great restaurant and carry out The Galley just across the road and a great ice cream shop The Parlour just next to the park. A path to walk along the sea front from caravan park. Would definitely stay again and we also had great weather this week.
Very well kept caravan site suitable for tourers. The chip van beside 'the cabin' is well worth a visit. Best chips I've ever had from a chippy! very friendly owner who can't do enough for you. If you're staying here get a takeaway.
We stayed in chestnut in the big garden. Brilliant site plenty of space for kids to play. Pitches well set out. Very tidy clean site. Staff very helpful also very welcoming on arrival. We’ll defiantly will be returning for a stay. Close to beach and play park great for all ages of kids!
A lovely ,spotlessly clean, with all the Covid-19 sanitising hand stations that are required. The resort is safe and child friendly with plenty of room to accommodate a large number of families comfortable .
When I booked for this company I was under the belief that I was booking for the Annalong site. It had a host of amenities that would have suited our family. Unfortunately we were booked for the Chestnutt site outside Kilkeel on the shores of Carlingford Lough. There were nowhere the same amount of facilities available to us. Yes the scenery and location are breathtaking but on a wet, miserable day there was nothing to do to entertain 2 very bored kids. On arrival we were asked for a £20 deposit for the toilet key. I have never been anywhere that was more than £5 and those locations were far better than this. The main campsite was on the other side of a very busy road and this is where the main playground was. There was one at the beach but you also had to cross the same road. We will not be rebooking for this site.…
Wow the view from our tent was breathtaking of the mourned! Brill campsite and spotlessly clean! Plenty of space in each pitch perfectly level and right next to the electric and water point for each one. Toilets cleaned twice daily again spotlessly clean and shoes were 75p you get a token from reception. Cafe and shop onsite all of which everything was reasonably priced and not taking the mick out of the situation. Food was lovely in the cafe and onsite shop had everything you would need. One thing is the cafe and shop all shut up shop on a Sunday, would be nice even if it opened with reduced hours, however Kilkeel is only a 10 min car ride away. Plenty for the kids to do with a few play parks, games room, beach - fantastic will def be back.
We stayed here for a couple of nights and enjoyed our stay the facilities are immaculate and the campsite itself is spotless .the cafe and shop great and the playground is great for the kids, the only downside to it is where the tents pitch are across the road from the playground and shop ect, so the kids have to cross the road which can be busy as it is the direct road to the beach ect,. that is the only negative of this site oh and the wifi is expensive
Superb!!! Campsite amazing ,, cleanliness second to none ,, staff very friendly, beach comber restaurant excellent , location very very good for touring county down , will definitely be back Well well done to all the staff
Just back from 3 nights in the Meadows, family of 4 with 2 children aged 12 and 8. Staff and facilities pristine 5 star definitely. Lovely beach 20 steps from site. Brilliant idea of concrete area for under awning so while it was raining under our awning remained dry. Have to say in our 5 years travelling around Ireland with caravan it's by far the best we have stayed in. Also beachcomer is a must try food both dinner and breakfast top marks.
Just had two of the best weeks ever on the touring site. Plenty of space, your own water/waste/tv connections and great amenities on site. Brilliant chippy/restaurant called the Beachcomber. Showerblock is immaculate! But best of all was the whole buzz of the site... plenty of kids for our own to play with and all just felt safe and secure. And all quiet at 11pm!! No wonder they win awards! The best touring site we've been on!! Cranfield beach is brilliant for young kids too. Also right next door to the Mourne mountains... loads to see and do if you get some good weather.
