We went back to the Belmont after an absence of a couple of years when the usually high standard dropped. Glad to say however that our recent meal was right back up there and the Belmont is again a place I intend to frequent. Good choice on the menu with several Gluten free options. Staff were brilliant, very knowledgeable and...

We were a large party and well received restaurant tables nicely laid out. Good choice of starters mains dessert flavoured mint tea/coffee (pre chosen). Food piping hot really tasty and good sized portions. Loads of delicious gravy etc. Service excellent throughout evening. A great evening and couldnt fault it. Will be back.

On a recent overnight stay in the Belmount Hotel, my husband and i experienced a poor performance by the Belmount. 1.The TV in our bedroom would not work when we reported it to the receptionist (I had to walk down stairs as the phone in the room did not work) ,he told me i would have to retune it as...

My wife and I were in need of a couple hours of sleep after a long travel day from Ontario to Dublin. While driving from Dublin to Bally Castle we had pulled off to get a couple hours of sleep. We were pleasently surprised after driving up the way. The front desk gentlemen was very accomidating and friendly. We told...

We had to stay locally for a wedding, the exterior of the hotel was beautiful and the receptionist was lovely. BUT.....the room was like staying at a really bad hostel. £85 for a room with 1. No shampoo 2. No shower gel 3. One towel for two people 4. Awful cheap bed that squeaked all night 5. Furniture which was...

We went to the Belmont for Sunday lunch with our daughter, her husband and two grandsons aged 3 and 5.It is located just off the A1 on the second slip road beside the creamery at Banbridge. We had-booked a table and were taken to the dining room opposite the reception area. The dining room was large and there were place settings...

Main dining room at reception was empty and we ate alone - which was quite nice. At least the staff are willing to let you dine in it even when quiet. Staff were friendly and efficient. We thought we'd order a different starter for a hanger but the Starter of mushroom crumble - not our taste at all. Main courses...

Myself and my wife had a meal in the cellar bar. I had steak while my wife had a steak burger. The chips were home made, onion rings were fantastic as we're the mushrooms. The pepper sauce was really good and my wives salad was beautiful. The ambience of the cellar bar is beautiful and I would recommend it for...

We booked the Belmont for my parents' Golden Wedding anniversary celebration and could not be happier with the way the evening turned out. In advance of the event staff were most accommodating about letting us in to decorate the room and on the night the were brilliant. Many of the guests were elderly people and they were so attentive with...

My family recently held my mum and dad's Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration in the Belmont. Having never been there before it was hard to have expectations, but they surpassed everything we could have hoped for. Staff could not have been more helpful. In letting us set up and decorate the room they couldn't have done more and we were able...
