Stayed here with 3 adults and 2 babies was a bit worried about staying in a hostel but I needn't have bothered worrying it was brilliant!! Even though it was a busy time and it seem to be fully booked but I was still able to cook in the kitchen by myself without having to share the kitchen space...It felt...

A fabulous low-key getaway; big, Victorian house nestled between a cliff wall and a wide, expansive sandy and shell-strewn beach. Secluded and peaceful. Very clean. Friendly owners. Full use of large kitchen so bring lots of food! (Photo is view from bedroom)

We booked downhill beach house for the weekend for a get together with friends. A group of 10 adults and 10 children. It was perfect. Lovely and homely, warm and cosy and an amazing location. Everything that we needed was there. The owners McCall and husband were incredibly helpful throughout the booking process and on arrival. A perfect place for...

We stumbled upon this treasure of a place while looking for a night's stay. At first we were concerned about staying in a hostel but everything was perfect. We are two couples in our 50s and 60s travelling together and weren't sure of hostel stays. Our concerns were quickly put to rest. The Downhill Beachhouse is a family friendly hostel...

I could go on for far too long about Downhill Beachhouse because it is quite literally my favorite place to be on this planet. It is charming and so very unique. The antique structure is more than accommodating with warm showers, comfortable beds, a cozy and friendly common room and a well stocked kitchen with enough space for several parties...

Victorian villa with large bunk bed rooms. Good kitchen and shower facilities. Live fiddle music on the evening we were there. The location is perfect as right in the beach. Good basic accommodation. No lockable storage for bikes but lots of outside space for parking up. Friendly helpful staff

We stayed 4 nights as a party of 6: 3 adults and 3 school age children. The rooms accommodate many more than the add states. We had a double bed ( very comfortable) and a set of adult bunks. Our daughter had 3 sets of adult bunks and a single bed! So although the beds were comfortable the rooms felt...

This had to be one of the most amazing locations for a Hostel in all of Ireland and Northern Ireland. My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights while we did day trips to Carrick-a-rede, Bushmills, and the Giants Causeway. The Beachhouse was right on the beach with an awestruck view.

Downhill is the perfect place for a family reunion / weekend away. Thank you to McCall & William @ Downhill. We had 6 couples (& Granny!) plus our 16 children for two nights and never once felt like we were on top of each other! The kids loved the garden & we all couldn't get enough of the beach (despite...
