Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Everything was excellent. Booked for an overnight stay with friends. Facilities were first class and of a high standard. Close to the town centre it was within walking distance of the pubs and restaurant that we had booked. Breakfast had a great selection and was all freshly cooked. Staff were really friendly and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Bannview.

I have stayed in the Bannview before, and always found it comfortable and fiendly, but this stay - at the beginning of March - was even better. I was given an appartement/studio room, with kitchen, dinning area, large television, comfy bed, and ensuite - absolutely spotless.... of yes, it also had a balcony. Not quite the weather to be outside and the main view was of Tesco & The Range - but look a little to the right and there was the river. I could not fault it. Also excellent breakfast and friendly service. Convenient for the town - easy walking distance: in my opinion hard to beat - this is the place to stay in Portaqdown.

I am here staying on business for 2 nights and I can’t speak highly enough of the Bannview. The room is surgically clean, the decor is fresh and comfortable and the location of the Bannview couldn’t be any better. Surrounded by a multitude of shops, eateries etc. Despite the obstacles of the whole Covid 19 situation ,the Bannview have went above and beyond to protect its residents whilst maintaining a relaxing and welcoming setting. Nicola is fantastic and made me feel at home and (with social distancing) showed me the facilities and assured me that she was a point of contact should I require any help or assistance with anything. I will be in the Portadown /Craigavon area all of next week on business and I made sure that my company booked me into the Bannview for the entire week . To summarise- if you are considering booking into the Bannview .. don’t think about it ,just do it . You will not be disappointed . A fantastic place to stay. Thank you very much to all at the Bannview and I look forward to visiting again next week . Mervyn

Our room was large and comfortable, everything was clean, not fancy. Energy saving with hallway lights that are motion activated. Stayed 2 nights and would recommend this to others and would definitely stay there again. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. It was an easy walk to restaurants and shops.

This B&B boasts luxury accommodation but is far from it. The room we stayed in had a horrible musky damp smell and when we got into the beds they felt wet it was that damp. There were cobwebs on the windows and the shower was rusty and needed the grout cleaned. The towels had bleach stains on and the bed sheets had definitely not been changed from the last person as they stunk of sweat. We we told we were too late for breakfast at 9am so had to go over the road to eat. The owner was rude and had no customer service skills and some of our party were covered in bites the next day. The B&B is quite big and it has potential aside from the tacky interior and the fact it needs a good scrub.

Stayed saturday night. Great spacious room clean and modern. Breakfast plenty of choice. Would recommend great friendly staff to. Kirsty was really welcoming and helpful. Close to Tesco which is handy. Breakfast 7 to 9 bit early especially if you have been out the night before that would be my only small complaint I would come back and would recommend to friends

Plain and simple accommodation close to shops a few bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly and welcoming quite basic but clean with decent room size and shower. No view as you look across to Tesco complex but pleasant river walk near by. Breakfast was made to order no frills but adequate we were visiting family so worked well for us.

Ordinarily, when staying away on a business trip I would make a booking with an established hotel chain, however the choice of accommodation in Portadown at the time was limited. I eventually found this establishment on the internet and booked this direct. The accommodation was low cost and excellent value for money, with friendly staff. I was provided with a large room with an en suite bathroom and the price included a superb breakfast.

We stay here once sometimes twice a year to visit our son who lives and works in the area, we will be here again at the beginning of December. Why?, because the owners and staff are very friendly and efficient, the hotel is extremely clean, the bedrooms are big and very comfortable, they serve a good Irish breakfast and it represents good value for money.
