Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have as a family been going regularly to the Roe Park for the last 12 years and we all refer to it as our happy place. The main reason why we travel miles to the Roe Park is primarily the amazing team of staff who make you feel like a member of the family and cannot do enough for you. From the brilliant front of house team of Deirdre, Sharon, Patricia, Glenda, Naomi who make everything so relaxed and check in flawless while even training the lovely Chelsea and Sam who are doing the most amazing job. We dined at the coach house twice and both meals were superb but the Sunday carvery cannot go unmentioned as it was completely 5 stars. And a special mention had to go to our lovely waiters Ronan and Adam who are a credit to the team along with one of the other waitresses whose name escapes us who looked after us all through every service. The breakfasts every morning our the outstanding highlight of the stay which is in no small part to the lovely and amazing Audrey who is such a credit to the hotel and is always so friendly and helpful and always smiling. As we visited over Easter we had the excitement of the kids farm, and my goodness how fabulous was this for the kids. Thank you to the guys who came and let us see all the animals I’m sure there are some of the staff whose names I can’t remember but we cannot recommend the Roe Park highly enough and we have had so many special memories there and cannot wait to create many more over the coming years.

Myself and nine friends had a fantastic easter golfing weekend at the resort. The staff in the hotel could not do enough for us at reception, breakfast and the bar, mostly the bar. Micheal McCrudden the onsite golf pro was first class and looked after our every need. A top class professional. Hopefully we can return again and experience the course when it has dried out.

My mum and I visited the spa and hotel for the Mother’s Day spa and afternoon tea package. The spa experience was great, our massage therapists provided us with brilliant back, neck and shoulder massage and facials. The relaxation room was also great. I would say that the pool, sauna, steam, jacuzzi area leaves a lot to be desired. Noisy kids totally ruined the relaxing purpose of our visit and the loungers all had soaking wet cushions. Could actually see where some were starting to accumulate mould. It’s not difficult to dry off before sitting down, not sure why people don’t bother to do this. The afternoon tea was excellent. Friendly staff, great selection of savoury and sweet food, good tea - no complaints! All in all, go for the spa treatments and lovely afternoon tea, skip the swimming pool area unless you plan on bringing earplugs!

In terms of accommodation fairly average, but location, catering and service is very good. Overall, the accommodation has become very jaded and could definitely do with some refreshing. The suites, given the pricing, need to be seriously revamped

Would highly recommend a visit to Roe Park Resort. Excellent accommodation and facilities. Food was lovely, staff very pleasant. Great location for visiting North Coast, yet plenty of space if you just want to relax with a book and glass of wine.

Haven’t been in years and expected some changes but much the same place! Pool/spa area is tiny! Beds very firm, couldn’t sleep! Wouldn’t eat in the restaurant again! Food very plain and tiny amount of sauce given despite the price!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent visit to Roe Park Resort. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations this time. We appreciate your comments on our pool/spa area and are always looking for ways to enhance our guest experience. Regarding the beds, we’re disappointed to learn you found them too firm for a good night’s sleep. We also take your feedback about the dining experience seriously and will address your concerns about the food quality and portion sizes with our team to ensure we maintain high standards. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future to show you the improvements we’re committed to making.

Went to the hotel in December 2023. Whilst the drive up and surrounding areas are beautiful, the actual stay left a lot to be desired. Left a review via their automated email service after, detailing the issues but the only person to get back to me was the restaurant manager. We stayed for 1 night and whilst the room was lovely and well presented, we awoke to no plumbing. Apparently the whole side of our hotel had no running water. I phoned at 6.30am to complain, someone came at 7.45am but just asked questions (it was one of the cleaners). Rang again before breakfast and then complained at front desk. Whilst the person at the front desk was helpful and gave us another room key to use the toilet, it wasn't ideal. I thought we'd be offered another nights stay to make up for the calamity of that morning but 4 months on, we've not even received an apology.
