A good location close to Longleat Safari Park with good rooms and nice food. We stayed in one of the apartments which had two small double rooms, a really spacious lounge, new bathroom, and a fitted kitchen (which had very little equipment but I’m sure you could get anything you need from the restaurant)

I was so looking forward to having lunch with my son. We sat in the conservatory at a very spacious table for two. The glass roof in the conservatory looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months! The chef came into the conservatory, he was very scruffy dressed in jeans and a not very white chefs jacket. The crispy beef starter was brought to the table within minutes. It looked unappetising and was very dry. No sooner had the starter plate been removed, the sirloin steak was brought to the table. It looked anemic and, like the starter, not very appetising. It was even more disappointing when I started chewing my way through it! It was tough, unseasoned and tasteless. The Sticky Toffee pudding with ice cream looked as if it had been plated with no care. I would not recommend the food!

Dined with friends in the conservatory. The choice was Fish and Chips and Sizzling Pork. The Fish was excellent but the Pork dish was exceptional. The flavours were a delight and the dish can readliy be described as being 'over and above' normal expectations of Pub food. Not to be missed.

Don't eat here, poor quality food at inflated prices, service slow and chaotic. Forget the online menu there is a hand written board with a choice of 6 items 2 of which were not correct, allergy information not available. The £22 sirloin stakes were tough with gristle, tiny and grey, £16 burger over cooked and dry, chicken dish had small scraps of chicken in a thick gloopy sauce that looked like it had been reheated, new potatoes (all 4 of them) also reheated and swimming in fat, chips (french fries with a couple of random steak cut chips in one serving) were full of black bits with more eyes than Monster Inc Pauley. In general portions were small, even a tiny spoonful of sauce for the steaks, which had split with a layer of oil floating on top of both types. Wait staff were pleasant but lacked training and organisation, they had problems working the till and the drinks dispenser plus 2 of 5 meals were wrong. Prebooked 7pm table not late walk ins. Management should be ashamed of themselves.

We came here for lunch today, 10th April, with some very good friends. We were sat in the conservatory. It was lovely and warm and bright. We got our drinks order in, slight problem with the Gin as sent strawberry not London dry, but they sorted very quickly. The menu today was not the full menu that was on the website, it was hand written and photo copied. We were disappointed as I was looking forward to a gammon steak, and a friend wanted something that was no longer available. We phoned in the morning to check the time the table was booked, but we’re not told it wasn’t the full menu. But we ordered something anyway. I had tomato soup which was very nice, well seasoned followed by the sirloin steak, it was cooked spot on, the chunky chips were absolutely fabulous, and a dish filled with peppercorn sauce. It was a fantastic meal. My wife and a friend had the chicken, basically a hunters chicken, it was cooked well, with potatoes and other veg, in a creamy sauce, the other friend didn’t fancy any of the main meals, so had the prawn cocktail as a main, she really enjoyed it too. They had a pud between them, they loved that too. So from what could have been a bad day with the menu, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, even the coffee afterwards was very good. I have given the 5 stars for the meals we ate, and the very attentive staff, and quality of the food. Maybe should have taken one off for not telling us about the menu until we got there, but I’m a fair man and they deserved 5 stars.

We came for lunch on Mothers Day. It was very busy, our table was booked for 2:30pm. Extremely disappointed with our meals. The roast beef was not pink (as I was told it would be) vegetables so overcooked and the roast potatoes very well done. I think the whole meal was just hanging around. Our son had a burger which was nearly £20 and terrible. He mentioned it to the waitress and she got another one for him. Strangely she wouldn’t take the burger back to the kitchen as she didn’t want her boss to know!! The second one was excellent. On a plus side all the waitresses were lovely, very helpful and friendly. We certainly won’t be going back any time soon.

Stayed here for 1 night after a spa day at Centre Parcs Longleat. Situated in a lovely little village - of Corton - about 15 minutes south from Longleat, the hotel and pub were excellent. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The pub provides excellent food on a good variety menu, as well as a choice of real ales. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Had a great evening and a good nights sleep. We would definitely return when we are next in the area. Many thanks to ????? and Lee.

We went to our daughters wedding which was The Dove Inn's first wedding reception. We were met on arrival by a very helpful young man, named Louis. He was very pleasant and helpful. We had been given a lovely room on the ground floor, which was ideal for my wife's mobility issues. The food for all the meals we had was superb. Lee and his team did an excellent job with organising and serving all the guests at the wedding reception. We shall definitely return to The Dove Inn, when we make future visits to see our daughter and son in law. Thanks.

Had our wedding here on Saturday. Amazing from start to finish. All of Lee’s team were outstanding! Fran, seb, Lee. And the chefs Calum and Adrian! Food was outstanding and the staff were professional throughout. If you’re thinking about having a wedding here then I would 100% reccomend Lee and his team at the Dove. 5*

We were staying with some family in Salisbury and had a spa booked at Centre Parcs. Looked around for a nice country pub to have some lunch at before our appointment and couldn’t have found a better place to eat. The food was amazing and was complimented by the great service from the manager Lee and his young apprentice Lewis who had just started. The dedication shown by Lee who was on crutches to still be on the floor and be so inviting (as well as recommending the lovely Special Crab). Followed up by his young apprentice who only a week into the job was extremely polite without over doing it. It was a true delight to see such a young man with such great manners and people skills who did his job and gave excellent service, we were never without a drink and service was smooth as water. Would highly recommend visiting here as we will certainly be dining again when we are next down.
