Friendly owners, booked Pigwig as stayed there previously with our dog and very happy, however this time moved to cow byre 2 at the last minute because of the dog. Cow Byre satisfactory but looking tired and soft furnishings looking ready for replacement. Bathroom plumbing very noisey which disturbs sleep for those in room downstairs. Frustrated to find Pigwig we’d booked was then occupied by a couple with a dog. Would stay again, but only at Pigwig. We thought dog price was expensive at £30 for 4 nights, after just paying £15 for the dog for a week in Wales.
We celebrated a family birthday at The Beeches and the accommodation was ideal. Cow Byre 1 and 2 are interconnecting so we opened the door between the two and had a large space for everyone to gather. We hired ensuite rooms for the couples and the families with children stayed in the Cow Byres. Very friendly owners for whom nothing was too much trouble. Many extras included, for example milk in each fridge, fresh flowers, eggs from the resident chickens, bottled water and biscuits. The weather was bad so the well-equipped games room was a boon and the children enjoyed meeting the ponies and dogs. Electric blankets were even provided which were greatly appreciated by the older members of our group. Highly recommended, we would love to return.
We were on a cycling break away and stayed in the Potato shed room. It was nicely furnished and additionally had facilities for making breakfast. Fridge, microwave , toaster, kettle and utensils. These were very useful as there are no pubs etc very close by. We were given a very warm welcome and looked after well by our hosts who included fresh fruut, scones, cream and jam and fresh milk in our room on arrival. Attention to detail made this venue rather special. We also had secure storage for our bikes, parking and a lovey private setting. Thank you Pauline and Nigel for an enjoyable stay. Best wishes Lindsey x
We stayed at the Pig Wig - a self-catering cottage with two bedrooms. The host was very friendly and the place was cosy and welcoming. It was very easy to book our stay via the main website. The cottage was clean and towels and soap were provided. The scones with jam, as well as the butter, eggs, and fruit were delicious! We checked-in everyday via the NHS Test and Trace App. The location is close to River Avon. There are different shops to browse and canal boat trips available nearby. We used Google maps to get from Bradford-on-Avon to bath on foot. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.
We love staying at Pig Wig cottage, very restful but with lots to do. The children love feeding the Pony's and Chickens and loved playing in the Games Room. Nigel and Pauline always make it a lovely and friendly experience with Jam and Cream scones waiting for us which was greatly appreciated. The Children age 4 and 6 can be left playing in safety on the lawn and really enjoy running round and looking for chickens etc. All in all a complete Winner. We love coming here and will be back xx Thank you Nigel and Pauline.
