My host, Gill, was excellent and my en suite bedroom really comfortable, with a high standard of cleanliness and more than adequate hospitality tray. Breakfasts were of the standard to be expected of a working farm, with a wide choice of hot courses and plenty of cold ingredients as well, with proper coffee or tea. We were allowed to come and go as we pleased, which suited me very well and is a big advantage of staying on a farm rather than a conventional B&B. I would certainly like to stay there again.

With only one of the three bedrooms left, we had the one without ensuite. Just off the beaten track with easy access into the lovely town of Corsham. Our room was large with excellent furnishings and beautiful fabric for the curtains. Sadly many dead flies littered the floor by the windows. Our host opened the windows to let the live ones out apologising that her housekeeper was away on holiday. The room was cold, it was 10C outside but we were told the heating did not go on yet due to global warming. Thankfully it was put on briefly the following night. Breakfast was set beautifully in a lovely dining room but the cooked breakfast bacon and sausages were hard and felt that they had been cooked the night before. There was plenty to eat cereal, fruit, toast etc. The big negative for us was having to walk quite a way down steps and a corridor to a very small shower room and toilet.

We had a friendly welcome when we arrived and a friendly "good morning" at both our breakfasts. The landlady is very friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely spotless, which was very impressive. The bed was comfortable and gave us a good night's sleep. The farmhouse is situated well away from any roads and is very quiet. The area is well worth a visit, Corsham is very attractive and worth a visit. Highly recommended stay.

The friendly welcome and service and the beautiful room were all excellent. There was a very good choice for breakfast, products locally supplied and even some from the farm itself. Jill managed to chat but still produce the breakfasts in a very timely and efficient way.
