My wife arrived having had to abandon her car in the floods that evening and walking 2 miles in the rain and I couldn't have asked for her to be in better hands. The owners were so caring and kind, looked after her in every way, (a glass of red wine firstly was so appreciated) ensuring she could get dry,... More

30th Anniversary meal with my wife. Food was fantastic. Tasty, and hot. We opted for the three course "Bronze" menu and had no idea what we were getting until it was served. Couldn't have ordered better had we seen the menu beforehand. Plenty of food as well and we were full with the three courses. The atmosphere was a bit... More

Were greeted with a friendly welcome by Tina. She took our drinks order which came promptly. . We were shown to the clowns restaurant (literally clowns everywhere ). First course was poached egg with hollandaise sauce with deep fried parma ham.. gorgeous. . Mains was locally sourced chicken breast with duxel of mushroom. Asparagus red cabbage and oxtail sauce. Lovely.... More

We came here for the 'surprise' dinner and we weren't disappointed. The food was amazing and beautifully presented with excellent service and hosting. I loved the detail that went into explaining all the dishes we were eating. All in all a brilliant night.

Welcome to the wonderful family run Buckinghamshire hotel. What a welcome change from my usual Premier inn, a warm family welcome into their Hotel. Everything you need they are more than pleased to accommodate, I was able to freshen up my shirts in their laundry room. Now let's get to dinner, you choose the number of courses and tell them... Don't expect a Hilton-wise experience: this is a sweet and homely hotel with great food and a lot of calmness. The owners are very polite and attentive. Small dining room and food just a bit overpriced for standards, but the flavour makes it worth it all the way! Overall such a nice stay

Booked due to a last minute change of plans, I was surprised at the good standard of accommodation, and as for the food - wonderful! I have never before been to a restaurant that has no menu! What didn't I like/allergens, and the rest was up to the chef. I had a superb beef dish, well presented and extremely tasty.... More

“we were given a quiet room at the back. But the road at the front was not that busy. The room overlooked an interesting garden, rather Japanese with a summer house over a pond with massive fish and big plants in pots. A lovely setting for the summer.”
