Spent a week in July in glorious sunshine. Views from the rooftop are stunning. If you've ever wanted to live in your own castle on a hill, this is as close as you can get. Worth every penny. Furnished and decorated wonderfully in keeping with the Elizabethan style of the building. Stone spiral staircase to all floors is great fun....

My friend booked the tower and annexe for her birthday, as she had grown up near by. The tower is not for the faint hearted, as there is a very tight stone spiral staircase to the bedrooms and lounge. It's beautifully decorated but I think more could have been done with the kitchen and bathrooms. We stayed in the annexe...

This is our second stay on the magnificent Chatsworth Estate. The first was at the Gardener's Cottage in December 2014.  The Hunting Tower looks deceptively close to Chatsworth House, however it's located up a long private driveway which is difficult to find, but well worth it when you get to the Tower.  The view is simply amazing.  You enter the...

Stayed here for 5 nights. I couldn't fault it and was very sad to go. So romantic and felt like a queen driving up to the tower through the electric gates. Tower was spotlessly clean even behind furniture. Great facilities washing machine and cooking equipment. Staying here is a real treat and special experience. Honestly the best accommodation I've ever...

A Tudor Tower built for entertainment, this offers a superb view of the Chatsworth estate. Accommodation is spread over four floors and is beautifully furnished. As it was my birthday treat I got the huge double bed built to resemble a four poster. As I am only a smidgen over 5 foot, getting up into the bed was hilarious as...

We (two couples, no kids) stayed at the terribly atmospheric hunting tower, built in 1582 in grounds of Chatsworth house. Due to it being 'off season', Chatsworth house (a stately home) was closed :( but we could view it from our windows, down the wooded slope far below. It was particularly gorgeous at night, looking down at its blazing light...

The Tower stands on the escarpment 400 feet above Chatsworth House, on the edge of Stand Wood. There are panoramic views over Capability Brown's magnificent Park. This unique and fascinating building was completed c.1582 for Bess of Hardwick, ancestress of the Dukes of Devonshire, to designs by the famous Elizabethan architect Robert Smythson.
