I stayed in the twin room recently. I found it to be very clean. The decor is a little dated and the bathroom was cold. A toilet roll holder on the wall would be helpful. Personally I found the mattress too soft. Jean the owner was pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was good. The location was within walking distance of Bakewell...

I live within a 2hrs drive of Bakewell & often visit there, love the walks & Monday market. The purpose of this visit was The Bakewell Show, I just wanted somewhere to stay overnight so I didn't have to drive & find a parking space on the morning of the show. The accommodation is just a pleasant 5 minuet stroll...

The setting for the River Walk B&B is a wonderful bonus. The garden looks out directly upon a beautiful flowing river. A short walk across the footbridge takes you into Bakewell village. There is car parking available in front. Jean runs a very welcoming place - with a home from home feeling. On arrival we were welcomed with tea and...

From the instant we arrived, we knew we had picked an amazing b&b. The setting idyllic with the gentle flowing river and lawn area at one side and the row of cottages the next. After a very welcome cup of tea Jean led us to our room which was very spacious for a cottage. The view from the room is...

This B and B has one of the best locations I've ever stayed at. The river is directly opposite and it's an idyllic spot. It's only a short walk into town and as we were lucky enough to be there on a beautiful sunny day we saw Bakewell at its best. The B and B is dated but very clean...

Had a pleasant night at the River Walk B&B. We had been walking and visiting the old mine and Jean was happy to tumble dry kit while we settled in. The room was clean and comfortable. Right next to the river Wye and a short scenic walk to the town centre. A little old fashioned but just what was needed...

We stayed here for a family wedding in Bakewell. Nice b&b, welcoming host, comfy bed and beautiful setting, alongside the river and easy to walk into Beautiful Bakewell. Breakfast was tasty. Decor not to our taste as quite dated but all lovely and clean.

It was a little hard to find and a slightly larger sign would have helped me, but then I did give it a boy look. We greeted with a warm welcome and overed tea. This was a very pleasant welcome. The room was suitable but I was worried about making a wet mess around the bath hand shower as there...

Thank-you for your kind review. I know we would like a larger sign but very restricted with living in the peak district with planning rules. The attachment on the bath is for hair washing and not for showering that is why there is no curtain around the bath. I am so glad you enjoyed the cuppa when you arrived I...
